How tall veg for one ounce single cola plants?

I'm thinking about going 10", but I'm worried they will be too crowded by the time they are finished. I'm running 36 plants in a 3x3 tray. Strain is serious seeds chronic. I want to get an ounce per plant, but would be happy with 1/2 ounce. I'm using a 600 hps too....

I grew serious chronic a couple of years ago .. at 10" expect it to go over 25" .. and it does bush out .. a lot of plants in such a small area .... problems occur ... mold for one ...

This will be trimmed for single cola, so it shouldn't bush out as bad right?

Height doesn't delineate amount of yield. Genetics are a determining factor, coupled with lighting, nutrients, medium, atmosphere, humidity, temperature, CO2 levels, etc.

Add in nutrient lockouts, burns, stresses, transplanting, pruning, etc and all that effects yield.

This equates to mroe than just how high you grow them in the vegetative stage.

More than heigh, I grow until they are sexually mature in their veg stage(showing pre-flowers or alternating branches). This is typically 45-60 days depending on strain, from seed.

If I were to answer your questio directly, I would say grow veg until atleast 8-12".

If you got 36 ladies in a 3x3 tray I would just Sea of Green em and do 12/12 from sprout. May not hit a yield of an oz per, but you could get pretty close to 1/2 oz if youre good.

I'm growing from clones, not seeds. I am planning on doing a sog though...

sorry bro .. thought seeds for some reason .. your right on the thinking sog .. and im sure you will be pleased with the harvest you will get with sog too ..

guess ill find out what works and what doesn't

i would only veg a couple of weeks then put them in your sog .. not wait too long .. if you dont have major problems a 1/2 a plant is probably at the low end , but it would be a guess till you have them in flower for a few weeks

Yeah, I was thinking of vegging 2-3 weeks, depending on how big they get. I have another table that will be setup too... HAHA can't wait to get it all running. It's been a year in the making.

sounds like you have a great plan .. and a 400 will give you good coverage for light as well
