Cool, I have to get that thing filled with h20 and get the temperature before I put anything in it. I may have to get that chiller thing..

hey edux10,

This thread posted may be of some help:
https://www.rollitup.org/hydroponics-aeroponics/72438-hydroponic-chillers.html

heres what I could dig up for you.

If you do end up going for the ice probe get it from here its only $100.00!!!!
IPWC-50' Includes 50 watt thermoelectric water chiller...

heres the quoted caption regarding the chiller:

"In typical aquariums. one IceProbe can reduce the temperature of 10 gallons of water 6 to 8 F. 20 gallons of water 3 to 4 F. and 40 gallons of water 1 to 2 F. Multiple IceProbes are commonly used in aquariums over 20 gallons to achieve higher temperature differentials.

NOTE: This chiller does not include a controller. Usually if the chiller is cooling the water too much you can just set your heater up a little to compensate. They do offer an optional controller."

So 6 to 8 degress for 10 gallons, well since your only working with 1.5 gallons it may or may not be good for you, as I dont know if its capability under even lighter loads that 10 gallons can go cooler.

You could get 2 of them, seeing as they are only $100 a piece,

Doing a little research has told me that it is difficult to chill a resovoir that is only 1.5 gallons, as most flow 5 gallon per minute, this would mean needing to keep extra water in the system, to account for the water going in the resovoir and out of it into a standing unit chiller.

therefore the ICE PROBE is probally your best bet!.

I would get two of them and hopefully, PRAY TO GOD this gets you down to low 70 degress in there.

But remeber you are trying to cool a cloner, this is new, I have never seen anyone need to do so!!! Is there any way you can just relocate the cloning room to another area of the location?

Again here is the link for a $100 ICE probe (please ignore my previous post, and do not buy from texas hydro.

I hope my post was helpful!!!
Thanks a lot!! Very helpful. I am amazed that the water temp is so high too. It is just as hot as the temp in the room, actually hotter sometimes. I don't really know exactly how this is happening. I am going to try the ph ice cubes tommrow and go from there. Maybe if I just get the temp down it will stay there. I may try to add insulation too. I will keep you posted..

Do you think that if I put the pump on a time it may help with the temp. Say if it was on for a minute then off for 4 then back on?

sidenote...imo you shouldnt add a chiller to your cloner.

run your pump on a timer if the diluted soup mix is heating up....moreover, if its heating up. let it heat up. clones like warmth! just dont be having it @ $90 but shit what do i know

ganjagoddess, PM sent your way!

That is what I was thinking too. They have heat matts for cloners right, this is like one built in. I got it to 81 now. Got a fan in there. Roots are starting to pop out of a couple. I have like 40 going no so we will c

Oh shoot if you got it down to 81 degrees your peachy for a cloner!!!

I thought you were at 95 degrees in the water.
Yeah I was at about 95 but I cranked the room ac to 64, put and airstone in there (so cool air is in there) and put a fan blowing on the outside of the res. Thanks for all the help. I will see how the aero table works out (temp wise) in a day or so. I am happy now though and I have roots!! Thanks a lot everybuddy..

Most any indica predominant strain can be forced to make a great one cola plant, I use Rocklock from DNA myself.

We fit 100 plants under a 1000watt Light. So I know High Density Sog quite well.

As for bubba kush I will look that strain up and give you my opinion in a minute.

Also for your resovoir you can get a water chiller, heres a pic and a link, but remeber to shop around. Or you can use plastic jugs of frozen water and throw them in the resovoir, but this is time consuming and rather impractical to be honest.

Try relocating your rez to either a cooler section of the room, or outside the grow room. 88 degree temps is really bad and can cause alot of problems.

are you running a aeroponic system to fit that many plants under a 1000w light. are you flowring strait from clones and what kind of setup are u running if u dont mind. clones in 2'' pots?
