How old should seedling be before using a HPS light?

I have 2 seedlings just a few days old. I have them under CFLs for now. I have a 150w HPS for them. So how old should seedlings be before using the HPS light on them?

That is a good chart, but I would also just put your hand at the height of the canopy and if it doesn't feel too warm then you're good, cos the distance can vary a bit depending on the ambient temp, the bulb and whether the shade is air cooled or not

You can put them under what ever HID light you want as soon as they sprout.
keep in mind the heat from your HID will cook your new Seedling. So the light has to far enough.
A Fan is always a good idea through out the whole grow.

ok thank you. I will be using a 150w hps for 2 plants. The light has a glass on it.
