I would just keep an eye on the top dirt and how heavy they are. It's 90-100 out here recently and besides some leaf curl issues, I've had little problems just adding water when it gets dry around the edges of the bucket. Blue Dream is awesome btw, maybe you can throw up some pics?

what I do is fill the pot Im going to use before transplanting with dry soil and feel how heavy it is remember the weight. All my plants drink at different rates and picking them up is the best way of keeping track.

its really important to remember to soak your pots completely at first before transplant, ensuring no airpockets or dry pockets. and than i soak em with transplant let dry out completely, makin roots stretch for more water, and than one more nice soaking, after they take off, i give them every other day, until they really start to develop a big root base, than if your not transplanting at least twice a day, you dont want them to get rootbound or they will start to flower and you will just have problems from there on out with nutrient uptake and water.....hope that helps? i know its a lilttle scattered but....

You can tell,by picking up the pot when its full, and when its dry.For veg.I like to let them dry out a lil,it makes them create more feeder roots.Just make sure your not using dark containers.
