How much Veg time? How much Flowering time?

Ideally I want to get my plant to about 2 feet than top it. How soon can I go to 12/12 for flowering and do I use 12/12 for flowering the whole time andddd for how long do I let it flower before harvesting the fruit? So basically I want to do this quick, not for selfish reasons but I have nosy teenagers.

Basically you could have smokable bud in about 3-4months depending on strain and grow area. Were you wanting to TOP your plants at 2 feet then flower from there...OR...did you want the final height of your topped plant to be 2ft?

You can go 12/12 whenever you want to, but the longer you veg the larger your yield upon harvest.
Flowering is determined the genetics of the plant, whether its indica, sativa or ruderalis (auto) among other factors like medium, light etc.
so basically your plant will be ready for harvest whenever it is ready.

also purchase a loupe or scope to check the trichomes when harvest is near bongsmilie

veg 4 weeks top, veg another week then start 12/12. average time 8-10 weeks.

I'd have to disagree about the loupe being needed. I think you should look at the plant as a whole before you are yanking it.

I disagree. Harvesting by trichome color with a microscope determines the potency of the marijuana.

well that's the tried and true method people have used for ages...but with each new cross that happens genetics get woven around, so the weed we have today is not what your grandpa use to grow back in the 60's...there might be some strains out there that never go cloudy, BUT as a rule of thumb it is a good indicator of ripeness. When you combine trichome color, with swelled calyxes, receding and browning pistils, that seems like a more overall methodology of determining the time to harvest instead of just relying on one indicator like trichome color

forget the topping and just go 12-12 from seed if you have a good light...... :weed:

Good advice, my old neighbor topped his lemon haze 8 times last year and it got soooo bushy and yielded about 3 oz from 1 3.5' plant.

What strains and grow method have you decided to go with? I choose what suites my local climate best but have recently taken a clone know for its killer output tho it doesn't seem to like its new home...

Here's my latest topped beauty, tho sadly i was robbed of it by some bum drifting thru and denying me the satisfaction of my time and effort

different types mate......big bomb, lemon skunk, bubblebomb and thc bomb.........ibest ive pulled was over 6 oz dry......regularly pull 2-4 oz dry per plant...

ive had up to 16 plants jammed in my cab but ive come to the concusion that with the right strain less is more..........take a look at the 12-12 from seed thread.. .link below and see what people are doing........does make for a constant supply cause i kind of grow perpetual throwing new ones in as i pull some out.........keeps things simple :mrgreen:
