How much Sun Light does a plant need

Ok, I'm looking forward to starting my grow for next year. My plants got stolen this year, so I'm going to find a new spot in the woods. How much direct sun light does a plant need? This winter I plan on clearing a spot in the woods behind my house. I'm trying to get all the Light I can. I plan on growing them in a trailer that I pull behind my Mower. I plan on locking them in my building when I'm not at home and use a light to help them grow. How many Watts do I need to grow inside? Does the bulb have to be a special bulb to grow? I welcome all the advice I can get. And any suggestions....Thanks!

Worried the people that stole my plants this year will come back next year. This happened while we was at work (Wife and I). She only works 2 or 3 days a week.

If you thought they were safe and they weren't...who knew about the grow? Who frequents the area? Anyone can observe your comings and goings....any way to grow inside? I'm reluctant to answer the question...

Well if the presstrussers came once and were happy they will likely check back now and then.......if they are going to be locked in a building, and forgive any assumptions, but it sounds like you are doing an inside/outside grow. If you vegging on an 18/6 schedule and part of the time will be spent inside you can use larget CFL in the 6500K range. When flowering 12/12 they might be outside for a while and you could use 2700K CFL. I think we need more info :) I know I do. When it's dark is it dark enough or is there a lot of ambient light?
