How much space is required per plant?

I was wondering how much space is required per plant? I am growing bubbleponics with 1000w lights and wanted to know how much floor space is "ideal" for each plant and what is the minimum you should have per plant?

Thanks for the help!

What kind of setup? bubble buckets? huge totes?

If using a 5gal. per plant then probably a good 2-3 square feet. they get bushy cuz the roots have tons of room to stretch before getting root bound.

what about using standard pots for DWC, do you really need all those holes?
I guess you could. I wouldn't recommend it. There would be limited water flow to the main root area, therefore limited O2 getting to the roots. Just seems like a recipe for disaster. Net pots start at like $.16. If you don't have that to spend on your plants then idk what to tell you.. this isn't a cheap hobby to start up but it pays off.

you can make your own net pots,I have in the past,I use a dremel tool and just cut slits in the pot you want to use, make sure it has a good sized lip around the top to keep it from pushing through the lid.you can also use a drill and drill a lot of holes, and also a wood burning tool or soldering iron, any of these can be used to make net pots. good luck and grow on
