How much room?

Hey im just starting out with growing weed. I took some agriscience classes in hydroponics in high school so i know all the hydro info just dont know how many square feet i should allot for each plant??


one more question. you guys thing 25 plants is too many for a begginer???

honestly i depends on the strain ur growing for how close together they can be. if ur growing something mostly indica such as grand daddy purp, its probably going to be a bit more bushy so give it about 2 1/2 feet of space trunk to trunk. that way they wont over crowd and block each others light. sativa grows more up right almost like bamboo in some strains so u can have them a lil over a foot apart.
if u really have ur hydroponics down then with twentyfive plants u should be fine. only thing is u are gonna need at least a good 12x9 space or even bigger for optimal growth and budding.

It also depends upon grow style. For example, I've seen Sea of Green (SOG) grows that have like 120 plants, with the flowering cycle started when they were about 6" tall, then pruned into a single cola spears. Each plant yielded between 1/4 and 1/2 ounce. All of this was done in a small area. Rule of thumb is at least one square foot per plant. Of course, if you want to grow trees, then that's a different case all together though. In that case, you'll need your entire back yard. :lol:
