How much longer? BF Pineapple Chunk day 53. Sorry about image quality its the best my shitty chinese digital scope can do. Seeing some amber, still plenty of clear, decent amount of cloudy.....This will be the first of my first grow in a while thats actually gonna finish, one each Gigabud, Blue Kush, and 5th element all day 53 but they are still chunking up, buds on this dude have big big for a while.

I would let it go a week so longer... Possibly even two. That being said I don't think you would be disappointed if you chopped it down sooner. Excellent looking plants!

Thanks for the info dude. Ya I'm stoked my last grow that went to completion was 2 plants in a 2X2 under about 210 actual wattage mixed purple LED. Now that purple is supplemental to the 3x200w homemade COB lights I have built, tickled with how well iys going, only issue I had was some light burn a couple weeks ago, live and learn. I will post pics of the others tonight if you wouldn't mind telling me what you think on them, trying to figure out ballpark dates in advance as I can only chop certain days and they all seem different speeds.

Yeah I'd love to see more pictures. I switched over to cob LEDS back in November and I'm loving it. 200w setup has my lil 2.5x2 tent packed with buds.

I feel you on the chop day planning. My work schedule doesn't give me much time in the evening to harvest so I also try to plan about 2 weeks in advance.

Ya my buddy ran two I started but couldn't finish, they were both great smoke - relatively neutral with a tasty citrus aftertaste, this one smells fairly neutral also but it's definitely a better producer than the the first two. Excited to see how it smokes.

Blue Kush (tric pic is sugar leaf is that ok?) All plants had some light burn resulting in yellow leaves that have been slowly dying off over maybe 2 weeks

Here is an actual calyx from the top of the Blue Kush which to my noobs eye looks like it is bordering on done according to trichs. Considering cutting the tops off of this thing and letting the bottom continue to grow, the tops look great but do not seem to be progressing I think the light burn was too much to continue much growth, but the bottom has lots of healthy buds that just need more light. Is that an ok plan?

You could probably either give it a week or harvest now. I harvested early and my shit turned out alright, but that doesn't go as the general rule. Your trichomes tell me they're getting there. Mostly cloudy, some clear, and a little amber. You want none to be clear. The more cloudy, the more head. The more amber, the more body. I believe the amber is decomposition of THC into CBD and CBN, but I am not sure. You don't want mostly amber, though, or you waited too long. 15% amber.

Yeah I am just not sure what to do with maturity of the top vs bottom being so different, I don't have another light to try to side light the plant, so I am kind of thinking of chopping tops now and letting the bottom have another week at least to mature. I think I will be cutting down the PC next weekend. The Gigabud and 5th element are pushing new calyxes still, and I bet they have more like 10-14 days left.

The ones I see in the pic will mature for a 1-2 days even after cut, probably finishing what you need there. Then drying will decarboxylate it for the most part, followed by curing to bring out that awesome smell and taste. I think between now and a week, and you should be golden.

OK cool. I will probably wait a couple more days then and do it after work since tops only wont be too big of a job. Do you know if I can cut tops off by cutting off the whole branch I want or does that damage the plant too much (as in should I just cut the bud off the branches?). Thanks for the help ODG.

It won't matter. You're going to have to damage to harvest. It won't herm, if that's what you mean. Cut it into branches. Pull off the fans, trim sugar leaves off for better curing and drying, use the sugar leaves for hash.
