how much lime do you add to your soilless mix?

Im using sunshine mix #4. I have a big bag of dolomitic limestone because everyone says you need to add some because peat moss is so acidic. The question is: how much? Someone said 1 tbsp / gallon but how does that translate per bail? Also, when you add the lime, how long does it take before the ph of the soil is actually changed? Thanks for clearing this up for me guys!

I use 1 cup per bag of soil(1.5 cubic feet), if that's any help?

I would say yes. unless it's all ready added to the mix.
