Hello all had a quick question I know it's kind of a stupid question but how much Humbolt honey should I add to 5 gallons of water for a good compost tea considering this stuff is stronger than traditional molasses. this is the recipie in using.
1/3 cup Peruvian Seabird Guano
1/3 cup Mexican Bat Guano
1/3 cup Earth Worm Castings
1/2 cup alfalfa meal
5 TBS Black Strap Molasses
5 TBS Liquid Kelp Extract
Optional: 2-5 TBS Fish Emulsion

Feed every 3rd watering at 2 cups per 5 gallons water

the molasses is in the recipe to feed the microbes. it's sugar.

But here, I'll do the googling for you: per humboldts website: "Humboldt Nutrients Humboldt Honey ES is a premium blend of cane molasses, yucca, kelp and ocean fish"

from the looks of the description, its not stronger than molasses. Go ahead and add the full dose. it's not going to hurt.

One thing I'd suggest is reading up on general plant nutrition from reputable sources, not cannabis forums. Cannabis forums spread way more misinformation that most other horticultural sites. That way, you can understand what the components of your tea are being used for, rather than following a recipe. Blindly following a recipe is that H&G and advance nutrients want you to do, because a fool and his money are soon parted.

Far as I know molasses or "Hi Brix" compost tea breeds more of the beneficial micros, and sea kelp breeds more of the fungal microbes. As far as I know the two don't breed well together. Not sure why people use both in there AACT as one sub species dominates the other IMO. Perhaps why they package subculture B and M different. Voodoo Juice, Piranha ect. ect.
