How much does topping effect finish time?

Greetings all,
That is my question. I never bothered to top a plant before until this grow, and I said to myself what the fuck, let's try it. I have now in my room 4 eight week plants that are at least 2 weeks from finish. I have grown these strains before, and they never took this long. If this is normal, fuck this. Thanks for all replies.

Topping shouldn't increase flower time as it is done during veg. Sp far as extending veg, it depends on how you look at it. But I would say about a week from topping until the new tops are close to the one I cut.

Much respect for trying something new in your garden! The only thing that determines flowering time is when you flip the photo period. That plus the particular strain you're growing might need longer than another to fully mature. Growin dad had it right you top in veg only. A little tip I have for you is to stop topping at least a week before you initiate flowering. It gives the new tops time to gain some height before budset.
