How much are Bay Area clubs paying growers per pound?

How is the cannabis club going Greyskull?
Hi midgrade! Thanks for asking. We're doing pretty good. I quit my 9-5 credit card processing career of 8 years and started our delivery service 06/01. We haven't done a lot of marketing (i.e. advertising & announcements), but have been listed on canorml.org for over 3 weeks. Our patient base is growing daily, and it just feels great helping people.

Now, please keep in mind that this is only our first month, and there has been pretty much ZERO marketing... but we have legally delivered/provided over 2.5lbs of meds. The "goal" for July is 3.25lbs.

Have you seen the menu at alohahealinghouse.com? We have some goodies. And cost includes sales tax & delivery fee built in.

I am on the lookout for compassionate growers in my area... if anyone wants to refer one to AHH (they must hold a valid CA recommendation) it would be greatly appreciatted - contact us via e-mail or telephone.

Ok heres a question fer ya. Being the fed laws changed and I'm in a medical state. Can I ship to you what you need and if so please pm me. Heres my thing. I run a compassion club here in Michigan. We're the newest of the states to vote in med use. Within 8 months we've clubs spread accross the entire state. Being some new, genitics would be helpful for sister states and if allowed shipping of meds back to other state could start several businesses.

Kruzty - Nice to see other from the area on here! I think shipping it isn't going to work as state law would come into effect, not to mention federal laws. I think it sucks since we cannot help each other out. I'm hoping Michigan will allow shops to open in the near future. Gives alot of us something to do in the cold winter months. LOL I can only ice fish so much!

I think 4000 a pound is fair for expertly grown medicine. All of us growers know how much work goes into it if your doing all the right things. I also understand from a dispensaries side that in order to stay in business they need to be competitive with the other dispensaries. I've had long discussions with many and the ones that care about the growers as well as the patients understand that paying the growers less isn't the answer. I also think as a grower for dispensaries you need to be able to provide an exception product as well as staying up to date on new strains and trends in your area. You should be able to rotate strains as well as offer multiple strains for your dispensary(s)

Interesting thread..
We're about 10 years behind California but are certainly learning fast.

One thing I have notitced is that there are a lot of caregivers and patients here in Montana who firmly believe that legal medical marijuana patients should not pay black market prices for their medication. Pretty much nobody is anymore but there are a few exceptions.

Several caregivers are offering $175 per ounce prices in part to discourage greedy people who are just in it for the bucks. We don't have dispensaries of clubs....yet....but I'm sure that's coming.

For the most part, everyone in the medical marijuana community is doing what they can to keep prices down....When a greedy caregiver starts with the same old "it's purple this" or "it's white that and I need $300.00 per oz" b.s. , he/she is pretty much told to take a hike over to the blackmarket side of town.

Those $250 - $300 per oz days are over. Thank god.

Thats great if the caregivers and pats can grow their own and they should have access to affordable quality meds but what happens when the price side of things is that as things get cheaper people cut corners in order to get things done at a lower cost. I think your correct that prices will drop but the quality will drop as well. Growers that run soil organics might be forced to hydro and someone that used to take the time to dry and cure slowly might be forced to fast dry with no cure. Their is positive and negative sides with lowered prices. I think you can produce good meds affordably but in the long run growing your own is the way to go--------You get what you pay for...

These dispensary can be highway robbery, high prices for low to mid grade product. I get better and cheaper off the "street"
