How many times per week do you feed?

How many times per week do you feed? I'm using FoxFarm and I'm at week one. Just not sure how any times i feed per week.

Start with 1/4 to 1/2 recommended dose to start on every other watering. I don't feed much of anything to mine til the 4th or 5th week in using ocean forest soil. If your leaves start to curve abnormally left or right your over feeding and cut feeding back by 1/2.

I checked out your journal, it looks like you are just getting started, Before you put any nutes in, you should decide if you want to go organic or use bottled nutes.
going organic means you feed the soil using organic amendments
bottled nutes are just that, anything in a bottle.
IMHO, if you are in ocean forest, you should consider organic and use teas and such. www.thesoilguy.com

Once in decent sized containers watering is usually once every 3 days... feed every other water, so feed once a week or just under that, roughly.

Chuck I'm going to use FoxFarm , I thought that would be organic ?

Has it sprouted or still seedling?seedling keep soil moist not too wet so water little by little throughout the day until it sprouts then if its sprouted let the soil dry up before every watering I'm in a 3 gallon pot so I water every 4 days

you should never let your soil completely dry up, keep moist at all times.

I feed mine like every 2-3days with water but mist everyday.. with nutes i do 1/4strentth once a week.. can check out my grow... i think i over heating the soil with too many nutes so flusing rite now take a look almost a month in already from seedling...:weed: link is below plz contact me there or PM!! Anyone ever in thaliand feel free to come crash at my place.........

Exactly, I copied and pasted this because I'm typing with I finger on phone. Marijuana thrives in extremely dry climates like Afganistan, mexico, etc. this is where the worlds best pot comes from. Let your soil dry out completely before watering agian. And I'm I mean dry that soil out!

You will notice that the speed of growth almost triples if you don't water your plants for several days and then some. This is because your roots are finally getting the air they need. Works for me:)

5. Underwatering - not only is the plant now stressed due to a low supply of adequate moisture, but carbohydrate production has been greatly compromised (screwed up). Step up the watering frequency, and if need be, organic growers may need to soak the pot from the bottom up until moisture levels reach an even consistency throughout the medium especially with mixes that are heavy in peat. If severe, a little surfactant (liquid Ivory dish soap) added to the drench will help return the organics back to a normal moisture retentive state. If the pot feels light to the lift - it’s time to water. Don’t wait until the soil pulls away from the sides of the pot or leaves droop before you water.

    • Don't Let Soil Dry Out Completely - Most potting mixes become tough and won't absorb water efficiently, if you let them completely dry out. Your potting mix can also pull away from the sides of your containers when it gets too dry, so while you may think you are giving your plant a good drink of water, the water may be just flowing over the soil, going down the sides of the pot and out the bottom, leaving your plant gasping for a drink. If you do let your soil dry out, you have a couple of options. If your pot is relatively small, you can take the whole thing and submerge it in a larger container of water, taking it out when it has stopped bubbling. For a large pot or one that is difficult to move, poke holes in the soil with a pencil or skewer, and then give it a good drink, making sure the water is penetrating the soil and not just flowing down the sides.

yup like he said.. dry runs between watering helps with getting air to the roots.. mainly oxygen.. works great..

also.. it depends on the medium your using.. I use promix non amended.. and instead of using a feed water feed.. I use a feed feed feed water.. system.. since theres no nutes in my soil I find it works great.. if was to feed water feed water I would end up with really yellow plants..

but I figured this out because I was sick of mixing soil.. my next run is going to be rockwool cubes for SOG.. and CANNA TERRA for my big plants.. canna terra Is THE BEST MEDIUM FOR CANNABIS that ive ever used.. I just couldn't afford it this round..
