How many seeds are too many?

Every year I get seeds. I would estimate around 1 or 2 seeds per ounce wet. Of course I cull my males, but I live in the country. Is this normal? Do you get seeds - how many? At what point does it interfere with quality or does it matter? I've heard some people contend that partially pollinated females are stronger.

most outdoor growers i know end up getting a few seeds per couple ounces, i think of it as free genetics to try for next year-i wouldnt worry about it too much, its when you get lots of green useless seeds in your buds that it looses value, imo anyway.

i found 2 seeds in last years crop...
i also live in the "cunch"
lot of people on my street grow..big grows you can see from google earth big...
ether my neighbors are super on top of there shit or im a lucky bastard or that info about pollen carrying for miles in the wind is false...
i grow from clones...so there is no way to know if they came from a fem'd seed or not..
do you use feminized seeds? or do you keep the seeds and replant them every year?
imo you shouldn't have seeds....i have anyways heard that one a female is pollinated..thc production takes a back seat to seed production...

I've actually grown from year to year, the last 7 years from the same plants using the few seeds I get each time. Next year I will be growing from feminized seeds as well. These are bagseed. They are good hardy girls that have descended from plants that survived our weather extremes and my sometimes haphazard handling :)

Hey Laney, do you think that using seeds that grew in your climate helps to acclimate them to your climate?

I did only once two or three years ago. Just a few on one plant. I picked them of course :)

Sometimes female plants will make a few survival seeds. Maybe one of them through out a set of nanners that opened before you found it. You are growing giant christmas trees so it would be hard to inspect every part of them for male pollen sacks. I stressed my little bubbleberry that I grew earlier this year and she put one little male branch and fucked her self. Now I got some bubbleberry seeds for future use. And yes, seeds from a plant are climatized to the area the mother grew. I don't think it affected quality at all, it gets me retarded high for hours. But, if you pollenate your female as soon as it starts flowering all of the plants energy go into seed making.

I do the bottom buds with a paintbrush and a ziplock full of pollen that way I know where the seeds are and findem. My purple #1 threw out some hermie pollen but the seeds are still few and far between except where you wantem. People are way to paranoid of pollen and seeds. I might not want to many of my seeds to get in the hands of the public but if they where serious growers they wouldnt be buyin it from me anyways. It'd be dumb not to polinate my f2 early pearls, they get earlier every year. I'm using my Blue Thunder X Big bad john super auto for a male this year except for my sativas, still waitin on my sativa pollen but they aclimize over time as long as you have time to finish the seed out, a light frost dont hurt either, I usually stick my seeds in the freezer before i germ carefully not to burn them.
