How Many Plants?

I'm in the planning stages of my first hydro grow, and I've chosen DWC. I have some experience with soil grows.

I'm trying to decide how many plants I need to get the yield I'd like (8-10 ounces). Although I know accurate yield estimates are impossible, I was wondering if any of you could make an educated guess of how many plants I would need to get 8-10 ounces, based upon the following (I'm hoping that 2 plants will do it):

Strain: Serious Seeds AK-47
Grow room size: 3' x 3' x 6'
Reflector: Luxor 8-inch air cooled vertical bulb
Light: 400-watt MH for 18/6, then 600-watt HPS for 12/12
Nutrients: Advanced Nutrients
Grow container: Single reservoir (cooler)
Grow method: SCROG
My skill level: A little above average, but this is my first hydro grow

Oh, come on. One or two of the 111 readers of this forum so far surely had an educated guess. Tell me what you think. And I sure will appreciate it.

most people don't talk about yield when there are no details about the grow except that its dwc and 400 watt. there are many many factors the first being the strain .
Having said that my first time out in dwc (or anything ) I had one plant go over 12 zips, out of the other 3 two came in at about 8 zips. The smallest being around 5 zips.
Strain has a lot to do with it.

This was under 1kw of course. I see where most people talk about goals of a gram per watt, where I did that on my first run I don't think I've ever come close since :/

Thanks for your reply. I really do appreciate it. But in my original post, I supplied a WEALTH of info about my grow, including strain, nutes, type of grow, experience level, etc.

haha, must have been the wax hits, I total spaced off the WEALTH of info you did in fact post!

it wasn't very helpful but at least you got bumped. wouldn't you say your small area would be the deciding factor on how many plants? hell I had a hard time getting in the room (8 by 5 foot) with 4 plants.

Do you have buyers already lined up?

Well, you make a good point...I was hoping 2 plants would be good enough for 8-10 ounces from a SCROG...sounds like it will be.

dunno how the ak47 (although I have a cherry AK47 in veg ) does but one plant might get it, just veg a bit longer, this one I've got in soil is turning out huge due to my unorganized scheduling and not having an empty spot in flower.
