If you can fit the extra 2 in the same room you will be ok. I like to make sure that there is 2500 lumens per plant. I am as well as you run a 400w hps + 150w hps.

you could grow up to nine small untopped plants under a 400w bulb, or you could grow four big trained plants.

In my opinion, a 400W is perfect for a 3 x 3 as it gives you about 5.5k lumen per square foot. The number of plants depends on how big they are when you start to flower. If you are going to go Sea of Green or lollypopping, you will need 36 6" pots. Square pots are best, as little room is wasted and you can go from one container to the next without stopping the water flow when watering. This method works well if you have reliable stock that you can take cuttings from. It is the fastest run to harvest. If SoG isn't your style (36 plants is 36 plants to law enforcement, regardless if adults or babies), you can figure 1 plant per square foot in 3 gallon orchid or rose square pots, will give you 9 plants. You have 6, you have plenty of room.
