How many plants to 1000W light bulb?

in a room that is 12 f x 8 f

would it be too much to have 4 1000 W bulbs with 9 plants under each bulb?

i cant remember that the rule of thumb is for plants to each light and how much room they need.

Nine plants per 1000 watts will do you fine, but I hope you have cooling and dehumidifying in mind. A room like that can rot a home from the inside out from mold.

As far as rules of thumb go, that's whatever growing strategy makes you happy. You can grow more plants, veg less and harvest more frequently on an annual basis. Or you can grow fewer plants, veg them bigger, harvest fewer times on an annual basis, but get much bigger yields per harvest. We all find our comfort zone eventually if you stick with it long enough.
