How many plants in my Scrog ?

I am using a 2'x4' reservoir with 6 female blackberry plants planted in 10 inch x 10 inch containers doing an ebb n flow.Just a quick question. If i were to use 6 plants say instead of 4 or 5 will i get more buds. The reason is if i fill my screen up does the amount of plants really matter? i plan on filling the screen up 80% before i switch to flowering. If i dont need all of them i will just put more outside. Any input would be greatly appreciated since this is my first scrog grow and hydro grow .

My man,

you dont need to wait for the screen to be filled that much. Your plants will stretch considerably unde the screen. 35 -40% is where you want to be in order to maximize the efficiency of your bulbs - thats the key to scrog, canopy efficiency. Im confused by your dimensions - your pot sizes are huge for ebb and flow. How big is your growspace? and what kind of lighting are you using.

My grow space is 3x7x7 and i am using a 1000 MH i went with bigger pots so that it i could fill the screen up and not have to worry about plants becoming root bound, the guy at local hydro store has been coaching me along with first hydro grow and scrog but i only get to talk to him about every 2 weeks . So do you think that i should use less than 6 plants . Thank you for any suggestions or input

If u use extra plants, you will simply cut down your veg time. You can do a ScrOG with 1 plant provided you want to veg for 3 months. Go a couple of extra plants, and if u can fill it when ur flowering and u have extra plants then move them outside.

There is only 2 plants in this pic..

Cheers for all the compliments guys. Roots weren't trimmed. Plants were fim'd tho.
That is a 6foot by 4foot screen and total yield was just shy of 2pound dry.
They were veg'd for 10weeks before turning and only filled about 45% of d screen.
the res is deceptive - looks small, but is 70L.

i was also wondering if i could do my ebb n flow with a reservoir not under the tray but put the tray on the groung and run water back into the reservoir using a pump ? The reason being is i could definitely use the head room for the plants and let them get much bigger . What kind of pump would i need or what sort of set up would it take to do that ?

its not a water pump
he's useing an air pump
thats DWC method of hydro

its just ph'd water and nutes in the res. with air stones like in a fish tank to supply O2 to the roots. the roots of the plant stay fully submerged under water 24/7 and the O2 (oxygen) is also pumped in 24/7 by way of airstone and an air pump
this tech was developed by nasa

he really shouldnt be useing a clear res ( it invites algae to the party, and every hydro grower hates her) but then again what do i know i never yeilded 2lb ever
