How many plants can fit in a 11 x 12 flower room

I have some space here that I'm willing to give up if the numbers are right. I was wondering if 16 plants is pushing it. I'll be flowering Sour Diesel and I'll have 2 1000w HPS to start with. Any ideas are appreciated.

your area need atleast 4 1000w
as for the plants what are u doing soil or hydro ......the size of the the roots will effect the size of the plant
...i have had plants take 1x1 foot prints one that took a 4x4 tent currenlty had a 3x3 one (just cut it)

it all depends on what u are doing and your feeding skills

you can do 16 sours under 2 1000 watts and do wonderful things. Like really great things. Yea you could go 4 1000's but if 2 is what you have then rock it. Buy 2 more latter when you want too.

That size room is a perfect 4k. I do 4-5 plants in 10g pots under each 1000w DE light over a 4x4' area with great results. I like growing slightly larger plants rather than a lot more smaller ones. Just personal preference though

I'm in amended soil and using CES nutes.

Definitely getting 2 more lights in the future.

you.
Hmmmm how about 16 in 10 gal?

current setup is 1000 watt for plants to in 5 gallons 1 in 7 gallon and one in a 10 gallon Smart Pot, after doing this I realize that there is a big difference between a couple gallons of a pot in the plant size. Max ur pot size minimize ur numbers.

what sire said max the pot size out
if the plant is 120 grams and under a 3 gallon pot will work (5 gallon for those will be over kill and max the plant out with right feeding) ....1x1 or 1.5x1.5 footprint
if the plant is above 121 grams u want some where in the 7 gallon size 10 gallon would be better .......2.5x2.5 or 3x3 footprint

the amount of water the smart bags will hold
3 gallons under 1/2 gallon water
5 gallons about 3/4 gallon
7 gallon just shy of a gallon
(this is smart pot bags packed with soil ) ....the 10 gallon one i just used 1 gallon of water figure it holds about 1 gallon 1/3

now assuming this is not your first time running plants and u have basic feeding skills...10 gallon pots u should figure 3x3 foot print so that is a 4x3 that is 12 plants max with very little work/paths so i say go 9 that will leave u room for paths to water and work

oh just to be nice

since u have 1000w light if it is digital ballast not the old magnetic u can use a new bulb called a finisher or 10k
http://www.amazon.com/SolisTek-1000W-10K-Metal-Halide-Digital/dp/B00R2Q7GUC

this has a deep blue with UVB it will tighten up the buds (blue light) and the UV light forces the plant to make more resin (to them resin is sun screen to protect the plants cell walls) ........use this light during the last 7/10 days before u cut and will have a better oil to a oz ratio ( doing a oz of weed take it and then blow it for BHO u get the weight of the oil i am avg 4.5/5 grams using the light no light best was 3.8 grams with a avg of 3.5)

(2) 1000 watt HID lights is perfect. It covers just enough area for 16 plants with 8 sqft of space for each one. 5-10 gal pots is good. Make sure you get Smart Pots or some type of aerated containers. It helps prevent root rotting and root curling.

I'm sold on smart pots. I can transplant from solo to 3-5 gal fabric bag and usually be ready for flip in 6-7 weeks with a 2 footer.

I'm in a 10 x 10 room... 4 -1000s... 16 plants get ....7 ozers per in 6.5 quart or 1.5 gallon potters

For the best coverage and proper lumens 1- 1000 watter every 5x5 ft. area

6x6 the plants on the outside edges get minimal lumens.... but it will work

you need 4 lights for x 11x12.... not 2
