How many people know about your grow?

When i first started i was way too proud and showed all my friends. Then i had this party and realized that everyone there new about it. So After i finished that crop i stopped for about two months. Put the word out that i had stopped and moved on to other things. Then i started again stealth.

So now, my GF, Mom, Two Best friends who are like vaults. thats it.

Its tough keeping silent when your proud of breaking the law that you KNOW is wrong. And that your crop is flourishing.

Should we be counting the DEA?

party @ the growhouse... not the best idea ever... that's good that you took a little "cool-down" period for a bit though...

me, my brother, and two or three close friends. Although, i recently discovered that one of them was bragging about the good "home made" weed to another guy i hardly knew. That was, after we had the conversation of how careful they should be and not tell anyone. The response was that he trusts the guy..... It was then, i realized that for every person you tell, that's another 2-3 knowing..... not good!!

I also am torn between bragging about my 'skillz', or just keeping my mouth shut.. Usually I keep my mouth shut, but I have told a couple close friends. People I've known for YEARS, I mean, a LONG time, and even then, only a handful (literally, 5 people, tops). I have had a friend get robbed at gun point, and that isnt pleasant, but its a reality these days (getting jacked for yer stash)... So, usually I just share a bowl with someone and act really naive about it and see what they say, and get privately stoked when they say they think its good... Thats all that really matters, I guess, is having good smoke, whether anyone knows where it comes form or not... Thats what I think, anyways.. Oh, and I heard some statistic somewhere that says for every 1 (ONE) person that knows about your grow, that increases your chances of getting busted by ten percent (10%), that means you tell ten people and your done for.. Unless you live in one of the 12 states where it is legal for medicinal use, such as California.

Only person that knows is my wife and well you guys lol. But my friend always want to know where I get my bud from. I just smile and say I got a good dealer.

I've been in that same situation.. I do the same thing.. but shit.. it does bug me a little. I mean... what a dumb question to be asking someone... just buy the fuckin' weed & smoke it...

No one! Sadly people talk. If you yourself cannot keep a secret, how can you expect others to?

My wife, Dad and mom, 3 friends knew just cause I started in my back yard, and they saw them. I told 2 of the three that I suck and they all died. The wife and parents and one best friend, no more no less.............. I still get paranoid though.

My wife & Bro In Law both know and my electrician knows. My wife knows because there is no way I could hide this from her, since I have converted an entire room to growing. My bro in law grows outside, and we are both learning. My electrician is another story. I really didn't have much of a choice, the grow RAPIDLY increased in size and I was adding lights almost daily. I had extension cords running into the room from other circuits so I wouldn't keep popping breakers. I HAD to do something about the power (or lack of power) in the room. I had him run 4 20A lines into the room, and since I was already 8 weeks into it, he got an eyeful. This guy has been a friend of the Bro in law for years, and has known that my bro in law grows for years, so I pretty much have faith. However, you just never know..........
Thank god for forums like this. I have no Idea WHY but I have this almost overwhelming need to tell my friends and brag. Forums like this allow us to brag all we want, get our egos stroked, and all with relative anonymity.

im looking into a DIY, LPG flame thrower , i want to hook it up so if my grow room door is opend the thieves get blasted with a high pressure jet of ignited LPG . IF im going down i wanna go with some style and dignity . or i am thinking about a self exploding grow room , imagine setting up explosives so if your grow is busted by thieves or cops it self destructs itself , leaving no evidence of a grow and some very sorry cops / thieves . .............erm yeah i waked n baked thismorning ;o)

After proposal #1 passed last week in my state (Michigan) allowing the use of med mj i posted detailed pics of my grow op's at my office,i'd imagine at this point hundreds of people know.

loud and proud... i would imagine i would have done something similar in such a situation... im not ashamed of my growing and would love to show it off,........ but, you know..

The person I sell to is the only one who knows about my grows.

The one comment I've heard the most in this thread is the same for me. I guess it's just human nature to be proud of a complex accomplishment, and I fight down the urge to brag all the time also.

That's the major reason I belong to this forum... and likely for a LOT of other members too.

Here, we can brag and get help from lots of like minded peeps and REMAIN ANONYMOUS at the same time!

As to who knows about my grow.... my sister and my dog (and all you guys).

Just my significant other knows. I have installed a gps microchip in her bottom just to be sure tho....can't be too careful...

4 people know about my setup. My other half, because, well, we live together and everything, and my three best friends. We've been friends for 20+ years and I trust them with my life. They have lots to lose if it came out they even smoked so I know they're not going to talk.

In my case three people know. I would like to say no one but shit happens. Luckily for me they are all very mature and trustworthy. No drama here.

Nobody knows. If I can't keep a secret, how can I expect other people with much less to lose than me keep it?

The only exceptions are my anonymous online friends.

Well we're all human and everyone knows we don't make mistakes, right? So just from a mathematical standpoint, each person "in the know" increases the odds of a human error. 1,2,4,8,16, and so forth.... it adds up. Unless you live in a grow friendly state ( I sure don't ), silence is truly golden. It makes that holiday gift ounce that much more of a surprise!! Of course then you have to kill them before you grow again, it's complicated....
