Me personally wouldn't go over 1000w but 2000w max,i've seen people get raided with 4 600w 2400w and a shit load of heat and high ass light bill. When i was using 1 600w hps i stopped using some things in my house as much to keep the bill down.If you look at your utility bill it prob will show how much is used month per month.

With good quality lights you will most likely begin to waste electro beyond 50w psf.

1200 watts is about the max for safety on a 15 amp 110 circuit that is not used for anything else.

dont know buddy depends on local usage honestly if you plant on rarely using anything else in the house you could probably do something like 6000w but its gonna get hot and its gonna be one hell of an electric bill thats pushing the limits to be honest too.

the most ive ever ran was probably around there 4000w in light then about 2000w in the shit i was using around the house daily.

What do you mean trouble? Law or expense?
I have no idea on either but my big concerns would be more light means more heat to remove = biger exhaust more electricity.
Then like mentioned can your current circuit handle all that. I`m working towards 2000 from the lid and 1200 side lighting but
I have to pull more wire and add more cooling so it prolly wont happen any time soon.
Good luck though.

Basically you can double to triple your electric bill without issue.

In a small townhome I did 2,000 watts, say in a 3 bedroom home 4,000-6,000 watts of lights would be about the max. It's more then you think, paranoia kicks in at about half the watts you can go.

As for what your home can handle just make sure to use multiple circuits, add up the amps ratings and don't connect more then 12 amps to each 15 amp circuit, about 16 for a 20 amp. You want that 3-4 amp buffer on each circuit.

Don't go too big too quickly, about newbie mistake number 3 or 4 on the list of mistakes to make.

yes you also need clientele to help move the serious weight you will be sitting on if you do do a big grow, but honestly if your going to go big, do it outdoors, everything is bigger out there, you could easily have 100 plants by having 10-20 plants in 5-10 spots, you get 1-3 pounds a plant, thats a fuckton of weed.

its simple, much easier than growing indoors, because all you need to do is find a spot with good direct light, and feed them well, but veg em for a bit indoors first, always helps to have the plant be bigger to help handle the outdoor enviroment, but they will pretty much grow huge on their own, like monster tree size

yea I have seen, I just dont now how to feed them , or what brand of nuts to use , or what soil to put in ground and how much ? the lan i got is like a 1 and a half drive so i dont like to make a lot of trips back and forth to feed.

just do a bit of research on here about organic outdoor grows, its too late now though, its harvest time for growers in a bit, IME you can use roots organic soil, or you can really amp it up and give em super soil, check the thread by subcool out for that

Last I knew it wasn't illegal to own grow lights, infact many people who home garden often times keep a light on for plants that need to be away from the cold during the winter months untill they can be put back outside in the spring. I'd assumethese light manufacturing companys aren't making their profits off of just marijuana growers, how big of a market is that?

And also it's not illegal to use electricity as long as you pay for it.

It is, however, illegal to grow copious amounts of ganja, and if you bought a bunch of lights, and your electricity bill was through the roof, then that is more than enough to make the police suspicious, and when they get suspicious they never give up, and its hard to hide rooms full of plants indoor, much less dispose of them in the event of a raid.
