Growing a short rider autoflower in a 5 gallon pot
( just one plant )
in a 4 square foot growing area ( 60x60x140cm )
currently planted seed in soil
has 3x20w bulbs above it
producing 1200 lumens each

would 7000 lumens be alright for a good yield?
its just one plant remember
and the lights are right above it.

Tbf i dont think u will break the oz mark with that kind of light i would be shocked if you got more than half oz to be honest mate i would get as many cfls maybe 10? as you can in there or maybe a 150 or 250 hps??

i;ve seen 43g been pulled of 2 x 23 watts?
and 60w micro grows pulling 15g
if all my light is on one plant
i should do good right?

will be 7000 lumen at the end.

Then i think he might be telling you porkys or never let the bud dry fully before he weighed it.
Idk see if anyone else has any input but i honestly find it very hard to believe

you see how leafy he left it? and the long ass stems? i wouldnt buy that shit...thats how he got the 43g nonetheless...not to bad for 2 23w cfls...i bet if he cut them things down like they should be, he'd really have like 25 grams.

i grow 12/12 23 plants SOG in a 2 1/2x 2 1/2 space, and get anywhere between 3/4 to an oz. per plant, they are also under 525w of lighting...1 400w hps, and 1 125w full spec. actual cfl.

well, you can do just fine with the current light you have. as long as you have reasonable expectations.

just have fun growing that plant, see how you do and learn from that and then do it again :)

you could add more light or skip it.

more light is always good as long as you can cool it. (around 75-80f, preferably lower part(you could go higher, but if its the choice of light or heat , id pick lower temps)

a small hps is a very good idea too, specially using the fluo as supplemental sidelight.

but sounds like you are doing fine, one step at a time.

besides, you dont really need hps if you arent aiming for a lot of smoke, just a hobby and some smoke.

then cfls do ya fine. good potent smoke, but not alot of it, but good for any occasional or weekend smoker (well as long as you dont go apezilla on the weed :D (once you go over 100w, you might as well go hps, much more bang for the same buck (though 70w hps is comparable to t5, 150w hps kicks any cfls ass.)
