How long until I can use Nutrients?

I'm just about to switch my plants into flowering in a few days and I was wondering if anyone could help me out with when I should start giving the plants blooming nutrients. Can I start the first day of the 12/12 cycle or is there a period of time they need for adjustment. Also while in the Veg state I would water them everyday and then every 3rd day give them nutrients. Can the same be applied for flowering?

No, don't need to wait. If your soil is ready then by all means go ahead and feed. It's a big help to go by using one of those feeding schedules. My friends tell me that there are several out there but they chose to use Fox Farms and have been lucky with success. Not sure if your in soil or Hydro...I only know about soil cause that's all what my friends up here do. It's cold all year round and they say it's too much work to keep their water temps right. I attached a copy from the web, hope it might be some help... good luck feeding schedule chart.JPG

Thanks a lot I got some free sample of some organic bloom booster or something with my soil purchase but maybe ill just buy all fox-farm or advance nutrients and just stick to one of their feeding schedules just so I won't screw things up myself. They look great so far I just don't want to burn or shock them once I flower

I usually keep using grow nutes alongside the flower nutes for the first 3 weeks of flower or until the stretch seems to stop and flowers begin to stack. Then I cut it completely off (grow formula).

This is by no means the right or best way to do things just what I do.

Ya..... sounds good, helps take the guess work out of the equation. Plus what's very interesting about this feeding schedule ( and I think they have several out ) this one has you add MOLASSES. All my grower friends add this and swear by it saying that's a big plus in smoke's after taste. But they and everyone one else that you read here on Rollitup say to make sure to ONLY USE unsulphured black strap molasses. Never researched the difference but one is very different from thee other according to everybody. :peace:

That's very interesting and actually makes good sense cause the plant might be starting to flower but doesn't stop growing new veg. I think by doing that would keep your plant healthier to stay stronger... I don't know but That's a good idea. Cool Bro.

sounds good...I can't wait till the buds start to form. I've been smoking for 16 years and still have yet to see a live budding plant so I cant wait to make the switch to 12/12 haha

I usually start at a lower dosage than recommended just for the first week and if the plants respond well then bump it up to recommended dose. Also I wouldnt water them every day. If you let the soil dry out more the roots will grow downward searching for water and you will get a stronger root structure. If you constantly water they dont need to search and can effect the plants yield and size in the longrun. I give them a heavy watering and then dont water again until the soil is starting to look dry.

i just use base nutes (A and B) throughout. a soil stim and flower stim combined with the base nutes for 2 weeks then switch the flower stim and soil stim for a nute called bloombastic by atami which pretty much does everything for your plants in flower. I have used it many times and always impressed with how fat and sticky the buds get. Its a heavy nute so need to be careful not to burn the plants tho. The last week I lower the dose of bloombastic and add GHEs ripen to finish the cycle. I always flush and dry the plants twice through then chop! Works for me anyway good luck ;)
