How long to veg??? 600w x2

Sup ppl, so i have 2x 600w HPS/Dual arc and i intend to have 4 plants under each light, what size of buckets should i get also how long to.veg under that space i probably LST em coz my veg room will be floros, currently growing ak47 and lemon haze SOG, oh my strain for the 8 plants will be super lemon haze x6 and bluewidow x2 and also... how much yield to expect for vegging X time? I will veg at leaaaast 4 months or u think its to much and defficiencies on soil will come up soil around my country aint the best quality but does its work tho.

3 gallon pots, lst the plants, 4 under each light, veg for 4 weeks. You have the possibility to yield 24+ oz.. I'm not sure on the yield with those bulbs though, I don't think they have the Lumens/Par of a regular 600w bulb.. I wouldn't veg for more than 4-5 weeks though.

4 monts is WAY too long to be vegging 8 plants unless you plan on investing in 4+ 1000 watt lights to flower them all under..

In 4 months time you should be nearing a really nice harvest....

man, fuck that scrogging shit. Just plant a few extra for a total of like 12. veg for max 2 weeks and flower. Your first 3 weeks of flower is your (stretch) or veg period so it will still get tall !! (so thats 2 weeks of veg plus the 3 weeks of flower (stretch)

Also don't vegg your plants under flours. You should vegg them under the 400's or 600's and you will have much better stem, leaf and root development, an all around bigger better plant. If you got your shit down you and your using synthetic nutrients you should be able to hit a pound a light on a 600 watt light. I got 1,000 watt lights and i hit 1.8p''s a light on a bubba strain.

Yeah he's right, plant a few extra that wont get shit for light because they're sitting outside the ideal coverage area... Yep, good plan..

^^ or listen to this lame, your hoods should cover a 4x4 main spectrum and a 5x5 secondary spectrum. If you want to get more crops in than don't scrogg. I bet you would probably tell him to veg under flourso's too ! lmao

I veg with 600mh and throw my clones under fluorescent, 4ftx2ft, and I get better results with fluorescent veg to be honest. Much more light coverage because of the long tubes, and there are no shadows in the area, where as mh leaves many shadows that block light. However, I use a 600w MH because of the amount of area it covers. Although its not exactly par with fluorescent, if you compare the area it covers, MH is much easier to cool as well.

Also, for your flowering room, I think you should atleast 5 gallon buckets, veg for 4-5 weeks max, and do 4 plants per light. Once you have more experience working with your ambiance (nutes, lights, space, etc), upgrade to 10 gallon buckets, 7-8 weeks veg, and 1-2 plants per light max.

All i'm trying to say is why the fuck would you veg for 1-2 months than flower ? Your just wasting time and electric. Instead, Pot a few extra plants, veg for two weeks then flower and you'll speed up your harvests. You would probably get an extra harvest per year just from that. Unless you like to sit around and wait for 4-5 months for your harvest.

Didn't mean to offend you Stump, I guess we just think different. Anyway, i'll put up an old one for you. Just so you don't think i'm some 17year old kid just running his mouth. This was two weeks old from root, first day of flower.

I wouldn't veg that long either, I would lst just enough plants in 3 gallon pots to maximize 100% of the lights efficiency, which would be 4 plants 4-5 weeks veg. Of course thats my capabilities, not necessarily what everyone else might accomplish.

Nice even canopy jpill im subbed reading it later, just a question if they actually start flowring at week 5 if i change the cycle at week two, why not still veg em ntil week 5 or 4 and then veg them? 18 hours of light wont give me more plant?? Im currently experimenting with 4 bagseeds and 1 of em was male and it flowered at 1 month into cycle

I ran 4 under each of my 600w this grow and am getting really good result. I clone when plants go in and veg untill they are done at 9 weeks flowering, so around 5-6 weeks veg under a T5. I have also packed plants in there. With the 4 in there now i am running rosebuckets. They did get a little overgrown but i am more than pleased. I also topped them. Its much easier to manage 4 very large plants than 12-16 small plants crammed in there. I have an easier time watering and an easier time working in the bottoms of them.

Sorry i don't quite understand what you are saying. I just vegg them until they are about two weeks old and flower them. During the first (3 weeks of flower) the plants stretch like crazy, so that is my reasoning not to vegg for longer period of time. Also I spaced those plants out when I went into flower , I didn't leave the trays crammed like that !!

After u changed ur cycle how long before u saw pistils and how long before u got a flower on top??

10 days into flower i saw nugs starting to form on top.

I understand where you were coming from now looking at your pics. I didn't reads it all, but was that 1000w lights and 1g pots or what?

We really do shit differently, I have plant limits..

1k lights (digital, dimable ballasts.) . I start out with the light at 60% power than turn them up to 100%. Those were only in 2.5 gal pots. Now a days i use 5 gallon pots cause the roots go crazy. The 2.5 gal pots were holding me back.

1.8 a light with (bloom yellow bottles) nutrients and a few other supplements. I just switched to Advanced to see if they will give me more of than edge.

so.. getting back my lemon haze got a lil stressed.. but they got back on track and now.. ive transfered them.. they are lyk 5 weeks.. but i couldnt flower coz they werent that bitching, they are 7 inches tall now, havent dont anything to em, just topped a couple, how many inches should they be before putting em under 12/12??

btw, i will only flower 4 and leaving 3 for mother plants... 2 SLH and 1 indica, and theres a pic of one of the plants before transfering today, i covered lyk half an inch stem, what do u think.. should i wait a lil more, or just change to 12/12 and change my nutrients to flowering... also, anyone uses PK 13/14 from canna? do u use it before they flower? or after they have flowerd
