How long to switch from cloudy to half amber?

Just a quick question. On average, how long does it take the trichomes to switch from cloudy to a nice 50/50 mix of cloudy and amber?

my cherry ak plant right now is just about all cloudy trichomes, but i am trying to figure out how long it will take to turn part amber so i can get my flush done right around the same time they will be ready to harvest.

thanks in advance

Good question, as new to it as I am my guess would be determined on the genetics. I think the flowering process of a Sativa is stretched out making the turning a little longer.

Its tough being impatient huh?

Make sure you're growing a strain that actually exhibits the turn of color to amber. My white widow and my ak47 never turned color on their trichs.. I even let one of the aks go for an extra 4 weeks just to see if perhaps I had harvested early but still no change.
Also remember that just because someone elses plant of the same strain turned color, that different phenotypes amongst the same genetics will have different characteristics and one of those could be that the trichs do nothing in the way of blowing the horn for harvest.

that is why you can not tell when ready by any ONE thing you must look at the big pictur

you cant go by just trichs, or just pistils, or just calendar, or just when leaves start to change, or any other single fact we must be able to tell when buds are ripe like fruit you know when you want to bite it buds same must look at hole bud will take on a worm color caliks (however that is spelled i cant spell for shit)any way they swell up, pistils seem to retreat into them, overall bud just looks ripe and ready once we start paying attention to these factors and go by hole painting not just one brush stroke

we are not doing ourselves justice in moneys spent time wasted nutes power not getting all plant has to offer, risk of freedom if no permit and not in a frendly state we waste a lot by choping to early or to late
