How Long Should Veg Stage Be---Indoor Grow?

I've done 3 grows now, but still haven't found a definitive answer. I am using 4 T5 24" florescent blue spectrum bulbs on 24/0 light. I have heard anywhere from 4 weeks of veg up to 3 months. I know that the longer I wait, more branches will be grown. But if the plant is doing real good, and I have 12 inter-nodes (in just 4 weeks from germination), is that enough time & growth to be fruitful? And will the main colas be as large if I wait or if I start flower after another week or two? Growing Bubba Kush (Bubble Gum & Afghan Kush) and they are absolutely beautiful. HUGE wide leaves and drinking a gallon of nute/water in just 3 days with only two plants in a medium of coco noir (coconut husks) in a self watering wicking system. Give this old Marine some feedback please--Thanks:blsmoke:bongsmilie:eyesmoke::bigjoint::weed:Mmmmmmmm Ganja gooooooooood.

The reason you haven't found a definitive answer is because there isn't one. Most people veg according to their vertical limits. If you use a form of HST then you are going to have to veg longer than if you used a form of LST.

What I'm trying to say is that it's all up to you. The longer you veg the larger your yield will be.

A good rule of thumb is that the vertical height of the plant will likely double or triple once you switch to 12/12 for flowering depending on genetics and envoirnment. The other thing to consider is the type of lights you will use to flower with. If you have 5' plant in flower and you are using T-5s or cfls you are not going to get the light penetration you would get with any HID type light so it would not make sense to grow them that large.
