how long should i hang my plants

my plants are currently hanging for about 7 days now how long should i hang them.

I let mine hang til the stems crack when I bend em,then in masonary jars to cure

how long to cure i have the mason jars ready ill put them in those tommorrow

Thats personnal preference,anywhere from a week to several months.Just sample as you go but the longer you let it cure the better it will be.

I've read that there is also a paper bag step that can be done between hanging and mason jars. I'm on my first grow and have no idea what is best on this curing situation. I'm nowhere near curing, but it's nice to have some sort of plan.

Experienced growers, please list your preference and why, some of us noobs would like to know. Thanks

Hang dry till stems snap, around 5 to 6 days. Then jar lightly packed. Burp twice a day untill you are sure there is no moisture. Smell the jar when you open. If you smell ANY mold
take out buds and redry. A good cure is around 3 to 4 weeks.

When you say "burp" is that just an open/shut burp or should the jar stay open for a little time?

Keep it open for 1/2 hour then reseal.
