I know i need one and am going to get one but im broke as hell at the moment.

You gotta figure the stretch is almost complete, going into flower I always lose humidity along with the leaf.

Ya, i guess I was wondering how long they would stretch for. First grow so It's all new

I'm also kind of not sure if i should be thinning them out more. I did a little bit about a couple days before I started flower, but it seems they have definitely filled that back out. Other than the pulling a leaf thats directly covering a bud site they are pretty frickin beefy

i bought a $300 dehumidifier when all i needed was a $20 bathroom vent fan. keep the air moving and don't worry about the humidity.

Ok ya, thanks man! I do have a good air flow going through there. And always seem to find a way to add another fan

get a strong circulating fan to blow some stagnant air around so it doesnt get a chance to make itself at home and bring his friend PM over to watch the game...

Does RH have a direct effect on resin production? I was under the impression that more tricomes would form with a lower humidity. The analogy I read is the resin acts as a sunscreen to keep the moisture in the leaf. So lowering the humidity would cause the plant to produce more resin to protect itself.

You should be ok, If you can, just open the door a few times a day to let to room come down in humidity a bit.

Its a box of the silica balls they put in shoes and stuff to absorb moisture from a product while it sits on a shelf.


This box of them will absorb the moisture from the air, then one the balls change colour you can plug the unit into the wall and it drys out the balls back to the "dry" colour to be reused agian and agian and agian....


Availiable at Walmart for $20-$30.

I've read that too but it depends on the strain, there are some strains that will produce lots of trichomes in higher humidity areas.

Wow..I just can't imagine having to buy a de-humidifier...

I live in Colorado...and I have 2 sonic humidifiers and regular one just to keep it at 50 with lights on.

But I do drop the humidity the last week of flush before harvest...down into the 30s. Especially on my Kush

Where I live we have actually had 2% percent ambient humidity...it's was so dry the snow wouldn't fall...just hang there in the air.

during the winter i couldnt get it above like 30% And i also had a humidifier going then.

Home Depot dehumidifier i picked up was $179. With a hose connection for constant drain.
If your only day 10 of flower and it's already up to 65%, that's too high you'll wanna bring it down to around 35-45%. Unless you want your tent to become a jungle, plus having a dehumidifier will help reduce the chance of mold.
