How long are seeds good for?

I'm thinking of getting a bunch of seeds at once because I don't like the idea of ordering something illegal over the internet, is there any method for storing seeds? I'd probably order around 30 and use maybe 10 so I don't know if there's anything special I have to do until I grow the other ones in maybe a couple of months.

Yah, but sub's a pro breeder,and he only got 2 viable seeds. At least he got a male and a female so we may see the strain around in a while.I've never had any luck with seed more than a couple of years old myself.

is there anywhere I should keep them?

Cool dark dry place,not freezer or fridge ( too humid).

I had some seeds given to me from about 15
years ago just took a while to germinate.
He also gave me some paper hash,
havn't tried it yet though...

they're actually dehumidifiers so they shouldn't be humid

Yeh but they gain humidity from sublimation.
