...........just? you are a simple person aren't u? im outtie
Who are you talking to with your last paragraph? If its me dont kid yourself. If someones going to talk shit about me im probably not just going to hit ignore. I hit ignore and they just keep talkin shit, i dont see what their sayin but theyre still flappin off. Which leaves the potential for me to unknowingly look like a squid. Thats not happening. I dont talk shit, i talk what i know, and if anyone wants to call me out then they better not just be sitting behind a keyboard with a head full of whiskey and a gravity bong in their skivies. Thats not the kind of people that help anyone on rollitup, people who give a flying fuck about what happens to some annonymous joe enough to take the time to add helpfull info are what turns the cranks of riu. And theres plenty of people who feel the same way about usless trolling assholes. I wasnt the only person d bag pissed off last night but i was the only person to put the troll in his place. Call it belittlement if you choose, hate me if ya want, thats your choice, we make our own path or follow others. I know where i standsome links to people who think they have pH issues; as said already, it's usually not pH making the problems...
checking ph problems and others in hydro and soil https://www.rollitup.org/newbie-central/103677-ph-other-plant-problems-solutions.html
how to ph soil https://www.rollitup.org/blogs/blog28487-ph-distilled-water.html
for soil i just check the ingredients, make sure there's dolomite lime in it.
i used to use ffof, but seeing as it's buffered with just powdered oyster shell, i switched over to happy frog. I like that it has less ocean-derived nutes in it, and that it used oyster shell AND dolomite.
first run doing just happy frog and i'm being careful not to wash out the buffer (oyster shell)
basically the only time i ran into soil pH issues was with FFOF. I added some perlite when mixing, this called for a heavy watering schedule.
there goes the oyster shell in the runoff, and now pH dropped to 4.5 or so ... no matter how much it's pH'd
to correct I had to either add dolomite to my water, which i didn't have, or flush all the remaining nutes out, then add back my own and pH that way...
I had to run about 10x the medium through it (30 gallons through a 3 gallon) before the ph and ppm's read the same in/out
now i fixed it by adding back 1/2 dose nutes till next watering that i did full dose. all ph'd to around 7 which is what my mix comes out to un-pH'd
just wanted to share some of my experience
heres another link i just found https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=11688
also wanted to chime in there's an "ignore " button if you don't have time for that
these people do have good info to share, it's just when they see something wrong they don't just help you correct it; it's like they're here so they can belittle people or something..
if i use straight water from the faucet is it really that bad for my plants in soil??
So in your estimation using water from the tap is like... not drinking water at all? His question was valid, your answer was uninformed and dismissive AND not even a valid simile. His question was more like asking if tap water is bad for humans, which is also a good question and which would have the same answer, which is it depends where you live and what is in your tap water.do your homework its like asking how important is water to humans lol kinda retarded question
