How growers are trying to stand out in the cannabis crowd

I ve been using aquarium mulm from my 120gal to dilute teas. Keeping an aquarium isn't hard at all as long as you do a little homework (nitrogen cycle) and stock the right fish. Having a plumbed hydro system running entirely off fish waste would be very challenging. I've heard of dual root zone style where you can still supplement nutrients which aren't fish safe as long as they are dosed in primary root zone (no run off means no contamination of tank water).

actually the fish are way more sensitive than plants...its a double job..but once in gear its gotta be the deal

aquaponics has been my spring plan//we gotta use trout because it gets too cold in winter

apparently aquaponics works differently than normal ferting..you can feed all day long

n ot that youk can't with mineral salts

..much much lower ppms for success..there are people doing well

i would like to be one..the k and p is harder to pull off

someone on RIU made this aquaponics settup over the last few months

You have to feed all day long because the amount of nutrients is so low and your still suplementing nutes for a complete profile. So add on the fish keeping and I dont see it as the best way to grow commercially...keep it simple works very well.

Well I've been mixing in some vermicompost to my coco coir blend after listening to a few agronomists suggesting it. (not so much for the nutrients, but for the bacteria and fungi).
Touch wood, ever since I did the change, I am not even adding calmag anymore. the plants are healthy and the leaves are about 20cm from tip to base. They have that waxy gloss back and the insects fucked off.

If your gonna claim to grow organic then you cant use refined or processed nutes...anything with a known NPK ratio.

If its just nutes I don;t care about the origin (sure would prefer a natural source).
For me organic implies biodynamic. I.e. feeding the microorganisms which in turn feed the plants.

True organic are not in a form the plant can readily use. Synthetic or mineral salt based nutes are

That’s the thing most don’t get. You need to culture or grow organic nutrients. That takes time for everything to breakdown and become symbiotic and available for uptake. Feed the soil to grow the plant.

That's what gets me when people ask for soil mixes, cause I know they want a quick mix short-term solution that will leave that soil unusable when they are done growing their plant.
