Pretty much at the title says.. what's the first-year north latitude you can expect to grow outdoors and have decent results?
Yeah it really doesn’t help. Depending on your access I started them off in Little Home made greenhouses.I'm in scotland too.. 56°n
And very wet cloudy weather
Have a look into some newer autos mate, they've really caught up in the last few years I'm not kidding!Latitude doesn't really tell the tale. I'm just above 44 but near the end of the grow my success is based on weather but typically have no issues, it is strain dependant to a point. IMO if they could just tweak the auto's to give a bit more potency I'd be real happy to use them exclusively but sadly they all kind of suck so far lol.
I try two or three new auto strains every year and while ok I'm not super impressed yet, yield is not a concern but quality is and again it's just not there but I keep trying lol. Think different was ok with one plant being quite nice out of 7 but that's not the ratio I'm after tbhHave a look into some newer autos mate, they've really caught up in the last few years I'm not kidding!
Some are over 20% now
Dutch passion are really good for high yielding potent autos
Auto ultimate holds the record at 1028g from a single plant
At 6 hours it will reveg yes. But it you were to cover it outdoors to allow 12 it would finish at the end of the flower cycle re light deprivation and yup keep trying different auto's, I've heard good things re Mephisto auto'sFair enough, I thought you were under the impression they're still absolute garbage like they used to be lol
Question.. say I veg a couple months, plant her outside, put a bucket over her or something to start flowering, will the fact that we only get like 6 hours darkness in summer not put it back to veg? That's why I was thinking autos
I'm pretty much the same but if it's wet and cold my girls, strain dependant, can be prone to rot. Some years are better than others .I am at 46 north and depending on weather usually have my babies in by late may. Is can grow til mid October tho it has already begun to frost at night.
Still pull off great yields tho I start my babies indoors around feb.
I've grown a little bit of everything here and it rains a lot. The only thing that has molded on me was the blue dream...but they were thick and big buds. But I only lost maybe half a pound out of all 12 plants. I just read an article that said to spray high ph water on buds because mold won't grow in a high ph environment. What's the best strains you have found? I know most purple strains are good for outdoors, and northern lights, so I've heard anyway
looks good. I am running a few of them this yr for outdoor. This gorilla bomb I'm doing I doors just now is apparently mould resistant
Again just what ive read on it
