I dont really have room to hang my buds up. I set up the clone/veg/flower areas but didnt account for the drying space. I saw someone on here put strings across a box with holes in it and sat the buds on them and then closed the top. Does that work? He didnt seem to have a problem

That will work or you can just lay them down somewhere dry and dark and then just turn them over the next day to evenly dry them.

Read the grow FAQ about drying because i think thats where i read that.

My mom use to use a long cardboard box cut lil holes and strung string from one side to the other making levels of string....Then she just hung them in the big box..Once all the bud was in the box she was able to move the box now for her convience.....Only problem with this set up is that box wasnt ventilated well and took longer to dry....Now we just dry in the grow room its easyer and i dont mind waiting 8 days to start a new cycle so its works fine for me

Jbreeze I really don't have a dark space to dry either so I used a rack to that you use to hang dry clothes and some paper clips and other clips to hang them with. I got a window screen from Lowes that slides that I dried my trim on and just set right on top. I use my bathroom and just leave the door closed, exhaust fan, and small ocsillating fan blowing on low and it keeps the temps about 10 degrees cooler than outside and the humidity around 45-50% and it took me 4 days to dry my buds to a crispy feel on the outside. The clothes rack has multiple levels on both sides you can hang nugs on also.

Here are couple of pics
