How Early Can You Sex Seedlings?

...when you see 2 or 3 (or more) immature male flowers bunched together on the internodes or the top growing tip - this is a male, for sure...
This is a great little gem of knowledge to know that helped me out a lot at first personally. It's helpful even if you don't have a scope/magnification or the females are being reluctant to show little pistils.

But like it's already been stated, you have to wait until the plant is old enough to be mature (after alternating nodes have started growing).

Place your seeds in a breathable container place that in a ziplock bag. place a bannana peel in the ziplock bag. Change out your bannana peel every other day for about two weeks. This will feminize your seeds creating 70% female." Typically your seeds are 70%male". The ethelyne works as a sexing solution.

I have never been able to sex by preflower before 8 weeks of veg so usually I just buy fem seeds or use clones.

I've been searching on this subject (since, apparently, it matters what sex your plant), and I can't seem to pull up any results. I've tried using several different terms to find this information to no avail, so now I post yet another noobie question: How early can you determine sex of your seedlings?
There is a company in Montana that will check for sex from a tissue sample. I think you should wait until the plant is big enough to handle having a tissue sample removed. You mail them the sample and a fee and they tell you the sex.

Mine still have their baby leaves and one set of "glandular" leaves (I made that up, I have no idea what the normal leaves are called, and if I ever knew I've already forgotten). These are all germinated from seeds out of my last batch o', and this is all being done on the cheap because mortgage is more important than anything else, which is why the babies are sharing some pots at the moment, to be separated this week into whatever I can fashion or nick.

Knowledge is POWAH!
IMO, sex is predetermined in the seeds.

That is why feminized seeds exist.
You can easily make your own fem seeds.

Pure bullshit from start to finish.
