How do you toke before talk?

a cheap dirty ass glass bong with the metal cone piece bong. Same one iv been using for years, I broke the top off it near the mouth piece but fixed it with electrical tape. this thing is filthy. I have clean all glass bong but i still enjoy the old worn one better. I change the water daily at least

What I meant that pot was recommended to be smoked alone, cause adding tobacco makes it more harmful.
Anyway, I do agree with you that antiscience is flooding internet nowadays. Probably that came from people who felt bad smoking pot so they had to find some reasonable facts.

But toking through water pipe, which gets you cooled smoke, rather than joint, that makes you cough like crazy, has to be better for your lungs. or not?
I am not a regular smoker, I do it once a week or so and I do it for some different experience, for seeing things differently, some visuals or a good belly breaking laugh in a company, that's why I prefer trippy uplifting sativas. But I noticed that sometimes I get a lot of visuals, sometimes the effect is quite mild while smoking the same pot. And I try to understand this. Is it different because of differently smoking it, or mixing with alcohol, or thc concentration on different buds are different.
These are the things I'm trying to find out..

haha nice. well one day I accidentally came across diy youtube video of how to make water pipe. instead of spending on a glass pipe, I made myself this one:

from 0.5L bottle, metal spanner and electric tape :)) it does not look very aesthetic, but it does the job for me quite well..

I have found that vaping pure water-clear THC made me want to cough up a lung. The coughing is inextricable from potent weed products ime. What the bong or bubbler can do is drop the ratio of immediate top-of-throat irritants. cn

good thing with that is you don't have to clean it, just throw it away if it gets dirty and just make another one!

yeah I noticed that sometimes it gets my throat itchy.. I always blamed the smoke being too hot.. Good to know! I need to observe more, whether high is better with itchyness, I bet it is :) Is there any rule of how much water you need to add to the bottle? The more the better or just to sink the pipes end?

haha yeah iv constructed a few of them back in the day. used gaden hose for the downstem and cut a circle with a slice halfway out of a soft drink can for the cone lol i thought they were good until i ripped an airtight bong

I've made my fair share of home-made bongs when i was a kid, in which case i would worry more about the carcinogens and toxins being released from the plastic than any tobacco and weed i was smoking, dioxin is in plastic. dangerous shit.

I always preferred like the soft plastic of those restaurant ketchup or honey bottles it makes a better seal. I have a nice Dave Goldstein fritted disc perc now and theres quite the difference between my old regular glass downstem bong in harshness and taste.

And my old glass downstem was way less harsh and better than my old home-made so you would definitely have a better results if you had some glass on glass.

I really don't believe the water filters much of the smoke but it definitely catches all the plant matter and makes the smoke a whole lot smoother. Don't you hate when a pipe shits on you, or resin lips from a joint

I knew it! That it's worth asking rather than thinking silently whether this or whether that.. I was arguing with my father, he was like old greedy grandpa saying that I waste money losing a lot of potency in water, that I should add only the little of water etc. while I told him to shut up and toke sum smooth smoke :)))
Yeah, did not think of the plastic... probably will need to think of some glassy bong..

damn, just youtubed that Dave Goldstein fritted disc... amazing :)

I also must point out that the same weed vaped v. smoked behaves differently. If you love hard Indicas, the vape might not be for you. cn

nah.. I smoke only sativas.. or mostly sativas.. uplifting energetic positive giggly trippy high is what I'm looking for, like C99..

Then by all means vape! I recently got to play with a Volcano, and the high was biased toward the uppity trippity.

You want a good one vape, trust me.

I can recommend the Extreme Q or the Arizer Solo. Out of all the vapes I used(minus the $600 volcano), they are my favs. Temp control, vape quality, durable and easy to clean.

Also if you have never done a vape bag, you owe it to yourself to do at least one. It is pretty intense, like the dabs of vapor.

whoa nice man, thanks for rec. yeah I truly love this strain. EVERY time I smoke it with my friends I laugh my ass off.. clear headed buzz with sum up'iness and trippyness... I made also space cookies from it, lol it takes 1.5-2 hours to kick in, but I was tripping like hell, with all the furniture glowing etc :)))) the only disadvantage that I get insanely hungry... never got that hungry from any other strain I smoked... but only from smoking, not from eating.. will try to find then some vapo and start saving for it :))) thanks again!

hm, good thing that all the brands you mentioned are in vaposhops around me.. yeah the bad thing.. they cost 199eu - 240eu. volcano 350eu.. :D ok, so I have something to save for..

also vape bag? dabs of vapor? I'm not really familiar with those names.. are they different kind of vapos?

The Volcano prepares a bag of "vapor" aerosol, a fog really, which has the excellent consequence that you can hold the bag-with-mouthpiece and hit on it when and how you like. The vaping is decoupled from the breathing.
Dabs refers to using somewhat more traditional glassware (usually including a hot "nail" to flash extracts - the dabs - into a fog) to smoke concentrates.

I use a third method I somewhat unseriously call the Roswell System. it's great for using a traditional bong or bubbler with hash and other concentrates. it gets the name because i use two dished screens, one to hold the hash or goo, the other to break the flame and distribute the heat from a small butane torch lighter. I stack'em into a flying-saucer shape and place them onto my bowl. This allows me to effectively "vape" Indica-like extracts and get the body effects. cn
