How do you start on hydroponics?

What type of hydro? Drip, DWC?
For me, I am ebb& Flow. I use rockwool and hydroton clay pellets.
I germinate in rockwool (or clone) until roots look good. Then into my flood tray filled with hydroton.
The reservoir is filled, with correct nutes (for veg or flower), and I set the timer to water 3 times a day for 5 min.
Every day I ph check my reservoir, and make adjustments. Top off with water if needed and check/adjust PH.
Every two weeks I dump the reservoir and start with a fresh load. You can choose to track TDS or EC to adjust nutes but I find the two week dump and reload works for me.
Other than having proper lights, ventilation, and odor control it is simple.
Once I have my setup running, I only check on the water each day and look for males and other problems in the grow area.
I make any adjustments to PH and I am done for another day.
Watch your plants grow, and keep an eye out for problems.
When all is running good, my grow takes about 10 min per day to do tests and make any adjustments.
When your plants are done, harvest them. Then clean and sterilize all your growing equipment for the next grow.

Good stuff, thanks. I was look to start doing hydro too.
1 question tho. can you have a deep tote with a aero set up, DWC under the sprayers and fog ponics...or is that just over kill?
