How do you get somone to grow your medicine?

Just got a 40 plant recommendation and I want to sell my 1000MH/HPS system because I'm sick of growing. I can't grow shit in the damn thing so I want to get it to somone who could put it to good use. But my script is for indoor only. It seems I can veg plants alright but in flower is where I always run into trouble. I even told my doc I wanted to grow lots of small plants in the sun but she wrote indoor only.
How would you go about joining a collective that could use the script and I could get a constant supply of medicine?

Something sounds very off. I've never heard of any doctor stipulating where or how you can grow. There's certainly nothing in the CA MMJ laws about it.

Your best bet in finding someone to grow your medicine is to ask someone you trust to do it, and assign your "growing rights" (however it's phrased in the law books) to that person... my 20 yr. old son is learning the ropes so that he can take over my growing for me when I'm not able to do it anymore. I'm sure collectives/dispensaries could help you find someone; there are likely many people looking to grow for others.

Id like to know more about this too. Dont the laws say you have to live with or take care of the person you grow for? Not just grow for them, you have to be a caretaker.

A friend told me he could do 5lbs of outdoor for me this year but I have to get my recommend changed. It says Im allowed a 10 x 10 canopy with 40 plants indoor only. Im just gonna tell my doc I want to grow the plants outside. What do you guys mean something doesn't sound right???

From what I've been able to gather, that only applies if you assign the person to be your caregiver. (Though you do not have to live with someone to be the person's caregiver.) Giving someone else your "growing rights" entails only that.

Talk to can.i.buz... she's always been on top of this issue. She explained this to me a while back, but I don't remember in which thread.

Why in the world your doctor would decide to dictate to you where and how you can grow your MMJ is what doesn't sound right.

(1) According to SB420, CA's minimum guidelines are 12 immature OR 6 mature plants, and no more than 8 oz. of dried and/or processed buds... counties have the right to raise this guideline, but not lower it. Where and how you grow is up to YOU, not your doctor. The state and counties aren't allowed to restrict us more than this guideline, and our doctors aren't either. Sounds to me like this doctor doesn't know Jack about CA MMJ, and possibly thinks she is "covering her ass" or some stupid thing. The doc I see for my MMJ recommendation actually knows his shit, including every way imaginable to process and ingest MMJ, SB420's reclassification as only a guideline, etc. (See below.)

(2) SB420's plant/ounce count guideline being used as a "rule" or "law" was stricken by the Supreme Court, because it was unconstitutional. I no longer stick to these guidelines, though I only went up to 12 mature plants for now... common sense is still the best guideline. ;)

(3) Good luck getting your doctor to rewrite your recommendation without being charged an arm and a leg... I'll be surprised if you're not charged her full fee, or at the least the renewal fee. (Though you could luck out.)

You want pics of my approval?? Thats pretty absurd.

...yes like my old one, when I get the chance I'll post the new one, which I renewed at a new place for 80 bucks, and everyone is right sounds like bullshit when you said you were told you had only one way to grow, if true doctor crossed a line he should not have...

is that embossed?

if not . . . . if a cop decided to give you shit, you'd get busted. the recommendation isn't valid unless it has the embossing from that particular docs office . . . the embossing has a code on it that the cop can dial in or some shit I guess.

regardless, make sure that's embossed next time . . . . or maybe it is and I just didn't see it ?

Hey guys, I recently researched this one to hell and back and I ended up getting my MMIC (medical marijuana info card). I only learned what works in San Diego -- check your county website for your specific procedures. You still need a doc's recommendation (MMEC is where I got mine), and then you go to the county office and pay ANOTHER 170 bucks and have an 'interview' with a county records clerk. They basically tell you that it's still federally illegal, that Cali tried to enforce the plant/bud limits but that's been found unconstitutional so you can pretty much have what you want. But don't sell, and wink-wink 99 plants or less would be less likely to land you in DEA sights. Within a month they send you (or you go pick up) a card that has your picture and a number on it. If you have this card, and are within state law, no state and local cop can arrest you (assuming you're not doing anything else against the law -- good luck with THAT). They call in the number and get a VALID or INVALID status. The card isn't even linked to your name -- your name's not on it.

Then you have to renew the doc's recommendation AND the MMIC every year -- follow the money, people -- so for me it's looking like about 300 bucks a year between the MMEC docs recommend and the county MMIC card. But a cop can always drag you in and make you prove your recommendation is valid even if it's embossed. If that MMIC comes back solid, he can't do shit -- legally at least.

Hope it helps.

It is legal to take medical marijuana, but it is illegal to grow it or to posses more of it then for personal use. You can take it, if you need it, but the International Treaty the US signed means it is illegal to create it or to have more than a personal supply of it.

It is illegal in the US to grow, cultivate, culture, or have marijuana plants. It is probably also illegal to import it without a special permit…
