how do these buds look and should i prune?

I was wondering if i should prune the large fan leafs to allow more light to reach the buds? How do these buds look for being on 12/12 for 4 weeks? Should they be bigger by now?

What are they? Grown from seed? Did they veg? They seem pretty scant.

how long did you veg for because that plant looks like it was put into flower quite young and so it didnt start flowering for quite a while.

i vegged for 3 weeks because i don't have a high celing and they were a foot tall at 3 weeks, when i started 12/12, they quadroopled in hieght and are now 4 foot plus tall. they were vegged with 5500k lights so i'n not sure why they got so tall, i probably should have LST'd them.

They started to flower about a week and a half after i started 12/12 so they've been flowering for 2 and a half weeks now i guess.

They look fine man...don't fret. Don't prune though, either.

noooo!!! I never ever prune leafs off my plant.. especially during the flowering phase bro. It's counter productive.. and can cause the plant to become stunted or lightly "shocked" even.. causing slow growth and or other problems to the plant.

It's just not worth it dude.. just wait until its time to harvest your plant(S) before doing any trimming. That's my advice.. take or leave it.

ps - looks to me like you need more light bro.

ok ganjaluvr, i've got about 10,000 lumens of 2700k cfl spread out over a 4ft by 4ft area on 5 plants. how much more light to you think i should add?

It does seem a bit shadowy around the plants so i'm thinking your right about that.

You're trying to grow a LOT for the amount of light you're using.

As expected your yields will be pretty low.. but you will get some smoke.
