I cant figure out how to send personal messages with this new format
how do I send pm's

therea few ways
you can click the users avatar it'll bring up a box and you can hit send a conversation
you can go to your inbox on the top right hand corner click start a new conversation and write the members name in it
you can go to the actual profile of the member and go to information tab than click start a new conversation
