You can't turn your plants purple. Purple is a genetic trait in the plant and more often then not its a hard pheno to find. I've heard of people keeping there plants in under 70F but from my understanding cooling your plants to purple is not a healthy sign. Don't take this as perfect information as i'm on my first grow but if you'll check out some of the other purple threads i'm sure you'll find the same info. i'll try and find you a good link

i dont understand the hype over purple buds, i dont even like the taste of purple buds and its not like theyd be more potent if they were purple

better street value i guess. you can lower temps to turn some strains purple like mentioned above, but not healthy for the plant and will make for a bad smoke.

basically you can turn temps down from 60-65 degrees depending on strain...i prefer 60 but thats just me.......and purp is just for looks imho..it goes quite quick

Purple buds are mainly genetics...you can increase the amount of color by cooling the room at night. I have also heard that cooling the reservoir once and a while can turn those buds purple.

There is a difference between purple buds and purple plants. Also be aware that some nutrients are unable to be absorbed at low temps (i.e. phosphorus). So dont keep the temps low for long.

You can get the purple by either using a blacklight or putting them in freezer. You will have to experiment with both but however, it wont be real purple, it will be fake, with just a purple color.

drop them temps in your final 2 weeks to 65ish and watch them turn.. it puts stress on them but they will turn purp.. that bad thing about this is at the lower temps will drop the amount of co2 that your baby will be able to eat up.. so best thing to do is drop temps at night only then let it heat up when lights are on.. I like to add humbolts purple max to the party aswell.. people say it dont help but I beg to differ.

you could try using a purple food colouring in your water/nutrients, they use this technique in flowers like roses to turn white roses to whatever colour they want.
i dont know if it would work with what you are growing but it wont hurt the plants as it is used in food and it must be worth a try.

first you want good purple genetics, like grand daddy purple or purple kush.the last two weeks you want to drop the temperatures to 60,for two hours a night.my grand daddy turns purple without airconditioning.it would get deep dark purple with good airconditioning.gotta give people what they want.purples are the best sellers at the clubs.

keeping your plants at a cooler temp turns it purp, also if u wanna play it dirty, when you cut your plants, take purple food coloring and leave the plant in the food coloring water for a while. it actually absorbs and expresses that color. fucked up tho

i was reading what all you had to say about getting your buds purp and i have to agree that lowering temps at the last 2 weeks before harvest will turn them purp. i had stuck my last grow out side at night and left them tell mornin and once it was time to harvest, they were purp enough.. just dont let the temps drop to low..

There is a way to turn your plants purple and "super stack" flowering sites on your plant during flowering. Its this super product that i have used with great sucess.. it comes from a nutrient company right out of Humbolt California. It basiclly adds flowering sites to increase bud production, increasing weight. the product is called "Purple Maxx Snow Storm" its 100% organic.
look it up and try it out dude
