See on the left where there are the three wires coming out of the pipe... There is a black (hot) white (neutral) and green (ground). Depending how you're going to mount the light is all dependent on how you're going to wire it. I personally would pull the wires back into the box, cut them shorter, insert a new 3 wire cord through the pipe and connect the colors with marrettes/twist connectors and then tape each one individually with electrical tape so they cannot come apart. Once that is done take the other end of the wire and attach a regular 110v male plug. Presto, your hps is now ready to be plugged in.

buy an extension lead. Cut it to the size you want with the Male plug still on. Strip a few inches of the outer insulation off the cut end. Then strip about an inch off the inner insulation of each wire. Find the terminals on the light. (will prob be be housed under a cover you may need to unscrew. If there is a cover poke the cable through first) Could be a range of different terminals. Hopefully the are just clamp down screw ones where you can just twist and double over the stripped copper, poke it in the terminal making sure just COPPER and no insulation is in, then screw down firm. If different you will have to work something else or post back with pic. Ok if you get this far you will have to zip tie the cable to something so that if someone pulls the cable it wont pull it out of the terminals. Screw housing back on and bobs ya uncle.

HOWEVER. If this sounds confusing and you are unsure about something I would recomend seeking an electrician. If the wires are stripped incorrectly or the terminals are not done properly it can become hot quickly and cause fires. You DO NOT want a fire caused by a light for growing pot. That can only be bad.
