How Do Femmed Seeds work?

Title is pretty much it. How do seed companies claim female? Like what is the science behind how they create female seeds? I get that clones from female plants are female, but how do they make fem seeds?

It can be done using chemicals or by crossing a hermied plant's pollen with a female of the same strain

yeah i would love to know this too? also, does anyone know if you can breed FROM feminized girls? like for example, you have a feminized mother that you take a clone from (which will be female) then take a regular male that can reproduce and breed it with the female clone from the feminized mother; could you produce offspring from this? or is impossible to further breed any feminized plants?

haha yeah you can breed from feminized plants no problem, they just won't be feminized seeds

it will have a 50/50 chance if you pollinate it with a male. the females genes dont overpower the males genes automatically and make it a feminized seed. Heres how you make truly feminized seeds.....
,
Feminized seeds are made by taking a bunch of plants and putting them on a 12/12 cycle and then fucking up the light cycle on purpose by interrupting the middle of the dark period with an hour or 2 of light. This will cause any plant that can go hermie to do so and weed out any "true female" which is just that, a female that cannot go hermi any of the normal ways. Then you need to get and apply colodial silver or their are a few other chemicals that will do it to make it start growing male flowers, the pollen sacks dont always form right so you have to extract the pollen and knock her up with her own pollen. You now have feminized seeds, exact genetic copies of their mom.

That's pretty much what I said. Except I'm pretty sure u don't knock her up with her own pollen. I've read that that increases the likelihood of genetic hermies.

a little research on genetics, and knowledge about hormones answers this question. Females have the gene to be female, period. Males can pass on a gene to be male, or a gene to be female. In other words, the male genes are what determine the sex of the resulting child. Gibberellic Acid is used to force male flowers from a female plant. Since it's female, the pollen will have female DNA and is guaranteed to produce a female plant.

That is a different way that does that. If you dont have a true female and decide to make fem seeds by forcing a female to hermi through stress and pollinating a second female. Like i said the other way makes exact genetic copies.

what you want to do is collect the male pollen and place it in a safe dry place and let it dry out. after it is dry have it in a zip lock baggy and while you have a female flowering plant at about 2 or 3 weeks in flower you want to take a little paint brush and dip it in the pollen and brush it on the desired bud that you want to pollinate making sure you do not get the pollen on the other flowers other wise your entire crop will be seeded. repeat that process for 2 weeks. you dont want to try this after 3 weeks because the seeds need time to mature.

You can certainly make seeds with it, but they wont automatically be female, they will have the same chance of being male or hermi as any other seed.
