how crucial is air stone?

Air stone help I have cloner but if you spread it out plants can last even to finish. Roots grow rather quick especially in the 18 gal tote so when roots hit water they are well enough oxygen. So it's kind of like a bubble cloner I guess they call it now a days....but you don't need the airtime if you not gonna keep em I. Their long your choice but yea yea I hope this helps in anyway

I know this post is old so anyway my opinion....airstone are not necessary but I use them keep water moving threw sprayer units and airstones help especially if you decide to just finish your plants in cloner roots will sit in nutrient solution and airstone makes it like a dwc, system it saved me my sprayers became clogged so airstone is like my backup system. Do you kinda understand? Anyway It's always a good idea but not a must. So system is like a bubble cloner I think they call em...but their are so many benefits of airstone helps keep root rot down as well. So I would just throw one in you can get one for 10 15bucks so why not
