Regardless of what you may believe there is a hierarchy in our government, Federal is above State that is above Municipalities. Since the feds still have it as a schedule 1 drug, it is still illegal regardless what the state says.

This is all mute
until the government can make money nothing will change.
We need to somehow tell the government what we are willing to give, to be able to have access to Medical Marijuana.
Maybe in the form of permit fee to grow.
If sold thru a store front dispensery would be all kinds of taxes they should pay at least what everyone eles charged that have a business in that city.
Make it were people can be care givers to no more than 4 patients at a time.
Put some lawyers and hippies that give a shit in a room and fill it with weed and munchies and see what comes out in a few weeks......

Didnt Colorado of a law that caregivers could only have a limited number of patients?
I think they should tax it, just like cigarettes, im sure they could tax it how ever they want. and people would still buy it.
crime rates would drop. saving state and federal money on paying the 30,000 a year to house an inmate.

Its the supremacy clause. Federal law will always override state law. Federal marriage laws prohibit gay marriage, even though states pass laws allowing it. The founding fathers didnt want states to have power like small nations. Of course, the federal government isnt always right, but since federal law is stronger than state law, it allowed for a more centralized government. That is also strong, (big picture wise)

I can understand the whole 'the states having too mcuh power thing' but like I dont think the federal government should come in and fuck shit up, when its not hurting anyone. if anything its helping people.

id understand if a state legalized Meth, because the whole state would be taking everything apart.

but its only pot!

I know its only pot and i totally agree with you, however, its the principle of the thing. If the federal govt allowed states to carry out laws that go against federal laws, they are giving them carte blanche to do as they wish with no repercussions.

Yes Colorado limited caregivers to only having 5 patients.
Also in Colorado the General Fund took something like $5 or $9 million dollars from the registry fund. They are profiting even if they don't want to admit it.

The government can make shit tons of money if they did it. the whole US would be stoned 90% of the time. but hey! the government is rich.

rebelling against the government is the stupidest thing anyone could ever do. If you want to fight the government, do it in the courts, not in open rebellion. Our way of life, everything would be gone. Then the us's malaise and down fall would spread to other countries dependant upon us.
