How can I schedule so I can have a monthly continuous harvest?

Hello, I have a PHOTOTRON2 and a STEALTH LOWRYDER grow box. Is there anyway to schedule the planting/cloning of my seeds/plants so that I can harvest 1-2 ozs every month for my personal use? I am a legal patient.

First of all, you might consider that if you're smoking 1-2 ounces per month, that need could be met any one of a number of ways, including growing a small number of larger plants to yield 3-6 ounces every three months. You don't "have" to run monthly harvests, and in fact it might be simpler for you to concentrate on a smaller number of larger-size harvests.

If you want to run a true "continuous harvest" setup, there are lots of ways you can do this.

One very simple way is to arrange your large box so that it holds 8 small plants (or some multiple of 8 for bigger boxes). You run this box continuously at 20/4 hours of light/dark. If your phototron 2 won't hold 8 plants (and I don't think its designed for that), you sell it and build/buy something else that will.

So then every single week you:

-Plant a few autoflower seeds into your seedling/cloning box. You can start them in plastic cups. You will need to start with a strain that has an 8 week seed-to-harvest maturity cycle. These strains should yield between 1/2 and a full ounce each (or maybe a bit more), depending on strain, and your skill as a grower.

-Cull the male plants when they show gender. Every so often you can keep a male plant to mature and fertilize a female one to generate more seeds. One such fertilization should yield you literally hundreds of seeds, enough to last at least a year, even when planting several seeds per week.

-Transplant the best female seedling(s) from a cup in the the seedling box to a bigger real pot in the veg/flowering box.

-Harvest the oldest mature female plant(s) from your veg/flowering box, trim and dry, then cure in its own dated/labelled jar (you'll be running eight of those, too!).

It should take you fully two months to get this system up and rolling, and it may take you a few grow cycles before you get a good feel for it and work out all the kinds. But once you do, you should be able to have a weekly harvest, planting, cutting, drying, and smoking one new plant every single week!

And there are other ways you can do it. For example, instead of running autoflower seeds, you could use conventional rooted clones. What you do is run your veg/flower box at 12/12 (or 14/10) and the other "clone" box to maintain a "mother" plant to take clones from.
