Here's the hard truth about your situatiom.
You live in your parents house amd they will go in your room and they will catch you. Plain and simple.
All parents, unless their absolute shit parents care what their chile is into and they snoop and put clothes away and clean and use any excuse to go into the room that they actually pay for to be helpful.
If your going to be insistant on growing, invest in a lockable cabinet and turn it into a light proof, silent grow box with plans on the net.
If you can't afford true stealth when growing in your folks place then don't grow it there or you will get caught

You're growing Afghan Kush in your parents house and hope to hide it? Not only will it stink to high heaven, it'll take 12+ weeks to flower. Show some respect for your parents by either telling them what you plan to do, or don't bother until you move out.

im 18 and growing in my room for the first time. The idea was that i would give my plants light when i go to bed (no one would enter my room if they think i am asleep) and then in the morning take the lights down again and give them 11 hours darkness in my cupboard. The problem is, i am now on my summer holidays before starting college, and so i can go to bed at 10 and wake up at 11 or 12 quite nicely, enabling me to give the plants alot of light during vegative stage. However, just realised, at college i need to wake up at 7am, and so to be able to get 12 hours light, i would need to need to go to bed every night at 7pm. that would b very suspicous! any help? only reason my dad comes into my room is to collect dirty dishes and glasses and to hang my clothes up, what should i do? thanks. btw i got a 600w hps with reflector for my 2 foot grow space lol overkill
