It doesnt matter how big you grow it indoors, it matters when you put it outside, do some research for your local area for ideal times to plant and crop. Man they will get HUGE outdoors, 10ft plants are not uncommon outdoor.

They spot them by doing multiple fly-bys. When they fly around they are not only looking for plants, they are looking for concealed clearings as well, because when they fly back over, they will notice if someone put something there.

You dont get busted from 1 flyby, its 2 or 3, weed grows so damn fast outdoor that someone with a little experience could Easily notice a patch in someones garden that grow from 1ft - 7 ft in only 8 weeks.

If your area is bad for flybys then its gonna be difficult, but normally the best thing to do would be to put it near other plants, or existing foliage, so theres not a clearing thats suddenly full of green.

Ourdoor can be weird, Iv seen people with 30 x 10ft plants right in there backyard every year with never any issues, and other people who get busted with just 1 in their backyard.

i believe they use uv sensitive cameras and a guy who has an eye for these specific plants, after a plant flowers the trichromes that protect it from getting burnd from the sun, these trichomes emit light being reflected back up in the sky.

hope this helps i watched a documentary on pigs that fly and bust all kind of peeps in san diego

There Is A Video on you tube Called "never get raided" he is a ex-cop that tlks about the techniques used for spoting plants from the air.

Personally I do a shit load of puning and tie down the plants to keep them short or the same height as the surrounding vegetation, usually no more then five plants at each site. usually yield about an ounce and a half per pant, but that is cold climate.

Yes, they look for things like patterns and spirals, watering footpaths is a clear giveaway, also things like fertilizer bottles and any other gardening impliments or refuse from the air...

Put ducktape under your shoes as the footprints can be used as evidence against you.

I like to identify weeds that like to be close to water, then only do my plantings in the area with other weeds like this... so it looks natural... as part of the vegitation.

What I do is plant near evergrees one plant here one there so in the fall when all the other veggitation is brown your plants don't stick out as much.. HTH
