What lights is everyone running? Atm I got a v1200 viparspectra and a v600 viparspectra. This is my first personal indoor grow I have done lots of outdoor grows and helped friends with there indoor grows. I did lots of research and found for the price I paid my lights work good. I am gonna be upgrading in the next couple of days to either the HLG 550 rspec or Series 3+ red spec 500w dimmable from Budget Grow Lights (Budgetled). What's everyones thoughts on these two lights? My friend who been growing 30+yrs recommended the hlg550 r spec so I know it's really good but I found this other one for about 350 less. I cant decide looking for some opinions! First 3 pics are hlg 550r spec last 3 are the series 3+ red spec 500w from budget grow lights.
I got 2 250 watt xl series 3 rspecs from Budget LED. They are kicking some ass in my 4x4.

DIY does seem cheaper but with kids and job and not being very handy lol I’m going to stay away from that. Going to get a 250w kit from budgetled, then maybe a rapidled in another month. Got some sour urkle from csi and some autos from fastbuds I’m going to try for my first indoor grow, grew outside this summer now that I haven’t had any plants going I feel there is something missing in my life lol is that ok?

Ok maybe I’m doing something wrong but that is fucking insane. I have 8 plants in a 5x5. What’s your grow space? I need to do this. What size pot and medium are you using?
I bet you get more off one plant then I do off 8. I’m day 48 flower with 900 watts in 5x5 using soil for medium and GH nutes. Please fill me in on your grow conditions, nutes and everything. Thanks
you definitely are not doing anything wrong! your plants and buds look great from all the pics I've seen. I really think the biggest difference that that would make the impact on your grow that you're looking for would be to switch from soil to coco/perlite medium and of course do some reading on how to water and grow in coco. its quite different. I think that will be your biggest and best change. as far as nutes, I've heard that GH nutes are pretty salty, especially for soil. if you do switch to coco, its best to go with an easy and consistent nutrient line like canna coco A and B or house and garden coco A and B (thats what I use). The only additives I use are h2o2. and then bud XL for flower and calmag when in veg. I have 10% or so runnoff every single feeding which I do once a day. I never let my coco get too dry if the root system is well established. i start in solo cups with cuts I get from a breeder in Ann arbor, MI. then usually to gallon and then to 5 gallon. I plan to try the 3 gallon size soon, but want to get my automated water system up and running first. I tried to make that pretty thorough. *edit* I like to end these posts with,...this is only my opinion, not necessarily fact or kosher

I totally get coco/perlite man I've read about it and I like to do it some day but watering 30 plants by hand every day just is not something I have time for. I would like to set up a watering system and a grow room instead of tent but until the budget allows for it I'm gonna learn and master the soil grow. I'm about to harvest my second grow. Pumped. I have always used GH Maxigrow powder and Maxibloom powder along with calimagic and floramicro and florablend. I have yet to run into any nute lockout and concern and always water with at least 20% run off. I just ordered RemoBloom for my next flower

more power to you brother! i was just telling you what I noticed made the biggest difference. my second grow didnt look nearly as good as yours, so I would just do you. Living soil/no till is what I would like to get into if I ever switched back from coco
