Haha... I have Covid!! I tested positive on Monday. It's savage, man. I thought I was gonna die. I'm past the fever and into "all your face holes are leaking". I guarantee I got it from some sick fuck at the Tool concert. I'm gonna blame the two fuckheads behind me that would not stop talking the whole show.

I got just shy of 4 pounds ago trimmed up sitting in grove bags. I'm already smoking it. It keeps getting better every time.
Love your post but sorry about Covid. Hope it goes away soon. GREAT harvest and a fabulous first grow.

I might consider doing an indoor setup someday. I just blew a bunch of funny money on a lizard last night so I guess I should wait a bit before throwing down on more toys lol. Greener Gardens (https://www.greenergardensmn.com/) has like, EVERYTHING there if I wanted to walk in and walk out with a complete indoor kit. What haunts me is Denver Guy telling me indoor growing is way harder and way worse with pests and disease. Sounds like butt haha. We'll see.

My new baby gets here Tuesday. She needs a name.

I dunno about next year. I posted my harvest to reddit and got torn for having my plants in "public view", ie, my immediate neighbors can see my plants from their second story windows. Honestly I really thought my setup was fine, my whole property has a 6 foot privacy fence with locks at the gates. What more can I do. Someone said a drone could see my plants and get me in trouble, like no fucking shit? Someone can just fly a drone over my back yard as "public viewing" and get bunched panties to see my plants I guess?? Idfk. The language in the legalese I read doesn't clarify any of that shit but it pisses me off to see people argue it. Maybe over the winter there will be more clarity. That or these people commenting are just jealous and petty over how big and beautiful my plants got.
Oklahoma law is a little more exact. You can't see the plants from the road with 20/20 vision.

The Minnesota law is clear, that’s why I initially asked about your neighbors, and the trampoline visible made me assume kids. Don’t let some Reddit posters dissuade you from growing outdoors though. That drone argument is absurd, your neighbors didn’t complain, you could always train them more to keep them lower, and worst case they’d simply ask you to cut them down. People are dumb, you clearly enjoy it and did a great job. Congrats on your first harvest.

Oh no! I have chickens, but they are very small and I have a removable guard that goes around the perimeter. I will watch it very closely tomorrow for what the sun situation looks like, but I think it begins receiving sun at 9 am.

This is the bed, when it had plants in it. It's still got some romaine there but they need to be harvested very soon.
The state of the sun at the garden!
I though you were kidding about chickens, nice one

Chickens are great for a getting a garden ready. They keep the soil loose, fertilize, and eat any weeds and bugs that show up.
Chickens eat everything, not just weeds and bugs. Sure wish they'd eat creeping Charlie. They prefer cloverleaf and ignore dandelions. They absolutely will eat the cannabis, too. I was pretty careful about watching what they did around my plants. Once they were tall enough it wasn't an issue. They really do savage the earth they walk. There is math for how many square feet per chicken is needed to keep a plot from turning into bare hard earth.

After jasper was killed I kept all my ladies in the coop and run unless supervised directly. The one thing that is most noticeable is ticks on my dogs. It's pretty apparent, the chickens eat the ticks.

Chickens can be hard on the ground. I only have 8 hens left from the 15 I bought 3 years ago. Their yard is about 40 x 100 feet and hard, bare dirt that probably won't grow anything for years. They only get enough garden time to make it better. Too much and they will ruin it. If I had my way about it they would have the whole back yard but Weeds, Ms DWW, has her plants out there.

Lmao no.

In fact I gave up at the 4th pound. I was just tired of weed being everywhere lol... the dog, my clothes, the floor. I put it in a pound size grove bag and fluff it every once in a while. The 3lbs I did trim took 2 weekends and 8 people to do.
